There's just some of us who take pleasure from making the guildhall awesome. The new room is a ritual room and a bunch of cool stuff can happen there. >.> Stay tuned and more might be added at some point in the future.

It's not that the Moondancers have more gold than everyone else (they may, but it isn't that), but that they are more willing to spend it on upgrades. For example, the Serenguard can double the size of their guildhall, but no one there likes to change. Unless it is to get a second guild forge. rolleyes.gif

Well, we don't particularly ask the guild most the time, opting for a suprise. We asked Lisaera if it's possible, start the writing, then when it's implemented/going to be implemented, make a nice post about it!

Good surprises don't get us contested.

Hooray for Caffrey!

Also, there's a couple of new rooms in the Spiritsinger GH that you're missing.

Heh, we had to bend over backwards to get that second forge! And we moved our locked entrance once... or twice, can't remember. But the kicker was when I logged out one night, logged in the next day, and two of the rooms had moved. Just upped and moved. No one knew when it happened or how it happened, all we knew was that it DID happen, and no one remembered asking for it...

Crystal Fields and Shattered Earth from the Taerin Passages added. I hope to have the water one sometime soon.

Stables in Magnagora and Glomdoring added.
Krackenor2009-01-28 21:25:34
Not positive, but I can't find the Caverns of Muhanlesh, or something to that effect, in the Undervault
Caffrey2009-02-01 18:51:47
Realm/Temple of Charune added. No prime exit anymore?

The caverns are there, but attached to the old pit location in the Southern Mountains. Only an exit is shown in the Undervault, from the southern passages.

We're still waiting on the prime entrance, but we'll get one eventually.

Ah, I see it. It wasn't added to the Undervault map, that's all.

From the Source of the Moon River heading towards Rockholm, the map is missing a room along the trail. It's e e e ne etc.
Caffrey2009-02-10 12:21:01
*gasp* It is wrong all the way back to my very first version in Nov 2004 sad.gif

Yet my zmud map is correct and Raguel's realm map shows it correctly. Somehow I lost a room and it's taken 4 1/2 years for someone to notice tongue.gif

Thanks Zallafar, I'll upload a corrected version later.

P.S. how long has that cave in the southern mountains been there? The one I couldn't find in the Nature hunt. sad.gif

I R FAIL

Since you liked that one so much, here are a couple more I thought I remembered.

On the westernmost trail heading northish from the source of the Estengare, once you pass the "glowing seal" it's ne ne n n. The map has an extra ne.

From the source of the Gloriana River, heading east, the trail is: e e e e e e e e ne e se se se. The map says: e e e e e e e e e se se se se, with an extra e in the first bit and having an se instead of ne e for the turn.

Hmmm I see what you mean I have an extra room in there, above the seal. I shall remove it!

Now that second one is something new! That definately wasn't like that before! *glare gods*

Thanks Zallafar, keep them coming... smile.gif

...and don't worry about mercilessly crushing my spirit. losewings.gif

IIRC, that's the stretch with the Eye of Tzaraziko (or Vestera? I mix them up). The room arrangement did get changed up a little over time, I think some time before the Eye object got put in and it was more than just a reference to the room desc.

Caffrey, do you have any sort of guide for configuring Zmap for lusternia?

I'd like to start a full realm map, but not sure how to work with teleports etc. etc.
Caffrey2009-02-10 22:32:53
Well, zmud isn't a wonderful mapper. The way it handles up/down is horrible and it doesn't do in/out. I like to have every room on the same level mainly to do my realm map but also because i like to see all rooms in one go. I also don't use zones so everything I map is in one giant zone.
I haven't done it for my lusternia map, but in another IRE realm I have linked every single in/out and up/down manually in zmud. Each time I come across an in/out or up/down I have to stop the mapper, go into the new room, add a new room to the map manually and restart the mapper.

Linking the in/out involves using an "other" exit and setting the "other com" string to be either in or out. But it is a time consuming process.

As for the zmud config... I usualy start with the Automapper setup wizard and fiddle with the settings after until it works.

Turn VERBOSE on, turn CONFIG MAPVIEW OFF run the new setup wizard and then try what I have which is

Room Name :
Paragraph 0
Start Line 0
Match Room Name at Start of Line
Name end with period

Room Description :
Paragraph 0
Start Line 1
Multiline Descxription
Room Description Changes

Room Exits :
Paragraph 0
Start Line 2
Multiline Exits
Exit line contains key
Exit line keyword "exit"

MUD prompt :
Auto Prompt Detect
Complex Prompt
Number Prompt

you might like to try and put in an expression for the mud prompt but mine seems to work without.

Anyway... good luck with that, I currently have 12,154 rooms in zmud, which isn't everything tongue.gif

Edit: transverse exits/enter opening, etc, should also be possible with the "other" exit type. link two rooms at any direction point then go to the properties of those rooms and change both sides of that link to the "other" type and put in the relevant command text

Caffrey, please allow me to extend to you my most sincere and humble apologies.

Good luck.

*peer*

Methinks some new area has opened.

I hope it is a neat square shape with only NESW directions and no loops and little pixies who serve trays of hor d'oeuvres while sprites massage the feet of any wandering cartographers??

Are you implying that you DIDN'T build the foot spa into your design????
