Hello. I'm running Nexus, Windows Vista, Internet Explorer. I have a few questions.
1. What language do I write in?
2. I'm interested in making an auto-herber (which starts on command and stops before plant extinction) and a auto-healer. How should I go about this?
3. Thank you.

Nexus has it's own proprietary language. It's very, very basic, but some people have had some success coding with it. (Vadimuses on Achaea is a very good example.)
That aside, if you want to code anything serious, you should download one of the more full-featured clients. MUSHclient is free, fast, stable, and supports Python, Lua, VBScript, and more, so I would recommend that.

If I download MUSH, will I be able to keep all my keybinds? I have a few... Where can I download? And does it have the compass?

You can download MUSHClient from here: http://www.gammon.com.au/mushclient/mushclient.htm
Regarding keybinds, MUSHClient has a macro system for certain pre-defined keystrokes, and has scripting capabilities to turn any key into a hotkey.
There is no built-in compass, but I made a plugin to add one that you can download from here: http://forums.lusternia.com/index.php?showtopic=8903
