I seem to be the #1 target for gravediggers. If I'm in the Blasted Lands, I get strung up by one of these beasties. Is there any good way to avoid them? I usually have to walk through on the Pilgrim/Bard quests. I'm a bard with mastery of Music. Any advice?

GLANCE around. If you see a mound of fine sand, that's a gravedigger pit.

Reflect as much as possible and holler for help while praying to the gods for minimal exp loss?

Isn't it better to just not fall in?

Shh.

If you have it, squint is better. No balance loss, and you can see several rooms in a row. You might want to trigger the "pile of sand" line to be a different color if it's not something you'd notice normally. Just don't walk into a room with a pile and you're safe.

If you have it, Reflection in Illusions is always good to have. Ask for help if you fall down a gravedigger pit, and keep spamming reflection until help arrives. Otherwise, GLANCE or SQUINT can be your best friends.

And why not use the Magnagora route?

Also look at a map (I believe there's one on the sight that marks the pits) - or, cut through the mountains on that side (again, a map will show where to head with this).

The pits move.

Thanks everybody. But what skillgroup is squint in?
Shamarah2007-11-04 15:52:42
Environment.

But you can just use glance if you want.

Still worth learning squint. It's not that many lessons into Environment.

Once you learn squint, you'll never go back. I use it religiously; even when I know the terrain by heart I still might squint for the heck of it just in case someone's there.
