Forcing someone to get drunk, drain all their power (sip vitae, anyone?), empty vials are things that most would consider lame. Forced Debating is like.. forcing to attack yourself, just with ego. I don't see how that is more lame than, say, mindblasting a mage and ordering them to staff themselves. Same result. On top of this, you can prevent forced debating.

Hungerwhoring and willpower draining can be lame. As for people who use psi vamp for it - since the change, psi vamp is much slower with draining. It used to be ridiculous - 25 vamps and the person is out of willpower. Now it takes much, much longer. 99.99% of my opponents die well before even reaching into the half willpower.

I would like to add that Caleb introduced forcing sleep using alter aura, what about that purpose?

I use to use force sleep but most people just use insomnia when the def stripping message appears anyway. So if you go alteraura insomnia/dominate sleep they'll probably wake up because of kafe or metawake. If you strip kafe first, most people will just eat kafe again because of the failure to have a "k" in prompt. You could throw stupidity in their but eat kafe or insomnia is usually spammed so it'll go through. Dominate sleep is not that good cause telepaths simply can't get both insomnia and kafe down at the same time. If they have metawake, that's a whole other 2 power to be used with dominate metawake off. For me, I have found it is simply not that nice.

As for cheap stuff. I don't really see force sip vitae as cheap. How hard is it to "put vitae in satchel"? There is no reason to need it out anyway. Now, if you happen to give someone a vial of vitae then force them to drink it or make them remove it from satchel, that, I think, is cheap.

Maybe I am wrong though. Maybe vitae is used for some combat reason that makes it a necessity to have ready to use at every possible moment. Never know.

The ability to avoid something does not make it any less cheap. Something is cheap if it removes the strategy and general enjoyment from the fight. These tactics include (in my opinion) forcing someone to pass out for 20 seconds from hunger, forcing them to lose all of their power, knocking them off-balance for huge amounts of time (bury cubix FTW), etc.. The fact that these can be avoided doesn't make them less cheap, it simply makes them less common.

Yeah, force sleep is fine. Most sleep things are fine, it's just tiredness that makes it impossible to reasonably recover without running away and hiding for 5 minutes.

gimme me all this cheap stuff.. i like cheap.. kekekeke happy.gif
