What do you do when you are so addicted that you can't stay away but so bored that you get in and it drives you crazy and you suicide just to come back a day later and recreate and repeat the process?

try turn off the comp, get the power cord, throw it out the window and chain yourself to a chair or something. That works wonders

Dear god I just realized it has been a year straight that I have been creating a char...suiciding and recreating the next day because I am so addicted and so bored...I really need to break this addiction...this is worst then smoking...

I don't see how making new characters over and over again is any fun. You aren't really even playing the game. If your so afraid you're addicted, just stop playing. Find a new hobby. GIRLS. BOYS. BOOKS. OUTSIDE. YAY. You could always try and ask the administration to ban your ip. (would they do that?)

Make a real character by making some progress on one, however mind numbingly boring it is. Or spring 20 bucks to buy some credits to force your character as unsuicidable.

Here's a suggestion.

Go outside. Go to the park. Hang out with friends. Just get out of the house.

Wrap your head in a towel and go protest a government function. You'll be Lusty-free for 30 days!

Maybe if you kept your character for more than a day and got involved in things with it you wouldn't get so bored? I mean, how is it fun just being a newbie over and over and never actually accomplishing anything? No wonder you're bored!

But the best advice is really - go outside and play. Go to the park and read a book under a tree, take some long walks, play some frisbee golf, go ice skating, just go do something outside in the real world.

I agree. I mean, I can't even fathom how making a new character over and over and over could be fun. Get involved with something. Join an order, make some friends or go outside and have fun.

I'd personally reccomend a sledgehammer or some shaped explosives, but that's just me.

Take up fencing or something. It's great for getting out all that agression that supid people instill in your soul over the course of a given week. mmmmm swords....

Okay so I have created a character and I am going to work on him for a while and see if I can get into things instead of just getting bored right off the bat and deleting. Let's see how this goes.

Any suggestions on how to get involved...and please don't say join an order. I know it is a suggestion, but I really do hate joining orders and following divine. No offense to the divine...I just don't like following any in particular. It hads more rules and politics that make my brain hurt.

The best way to get involved, I believe, is just to talk to people you meet. Greet people at your Nexus, ask about your guild on your guild aethers. These things usually come a lot easier when you improvise.

Alright I will give it a try. Now the tricky question while I can remember to ask it...Nihilist or Ur'guard? I really like the whole idea of being a knight for the taint and such...but the guild has always seemed pretty solitary...though that could have been mostly due to me not giving it a proper chance I guess where as the Nihilists seems more lively. Thoughts?
