Hello, I'm a relative newbie (though a catch on to things, fast)
Anyways, I have a few questions involving aetherships:
1. I know that they cost a lot, so what are the best ways to get the money to buy an egg (and the manse that the egg goes into) without using an IRL money?
1a. If I were to buy credits, what are the going rate for them? 1cr=?gold
2. When I buy an algontherine egg, do I need my manse to be the size I want my aethership to be?
2a. Can I add rooms to be Aethership?
2b. How much do rooms cost in manses and aetherships?
uh...those are the only questions I can think of right now...but I know that I'll probably have more later on.

1. Be an herbalist with way too much time on your hands. Alchemy and enchanting can also be pretty profitable.
1a. Check CREDITS FOR SALE. Usually around 4000-5000.
2. No, you can add rooms after hatching the egg.
2a. Yes.
2b. The first room costs 350,000gp, and subsequent rooms 150,000gp.

Well, I've used RL money for the credits I've sold for my rooms, so I'm not the best person to answer #1, but there are some good gold earning quests and hunting grounds out there. If you're an herbalist by trade you can make pretty good gold from that too. If you're willing to charge for profit, you can eventually make good gold off of other trades too, but so many aren't.
You can see what the going rate for credits in gold by looking at CREDITS FOR SALE which shows the credit market.
You only need at least one room for the egg and then you can add rooms as you like.
The first room, the Fulcrux, costs 350,000 gold. After that, each room is 150,000 gold. I forget how much the egg itself costs though.

Ok, thanks.
Now for another question:
I think you already answered this...but does adding rooms to an Aethership cost money?

Alright

I'd suggest trying to find a used manse/ship. That'll save you a little bit? Maybe not as much as you'd like but everything is movable and redesignable and titles and names are all changable. But if they're nice, it'll save you from buying a room or two so a couple hundred thousand maybe.

Hmm...right, I'll try that.
Any idea what it might cost me?

People will usually sell it 10-15% cheaper (based what they spent on the rooms and modules). Most do not charge for furniture/doors, especially since the furniture may not be to the buyer's taste. You'll be lucky to get a discount higher than 15%.
(To see the prices of turrets, eggs, and other things, just go 1 or 2 south of the Aetherplex and do WARES.) North for manse stuff.

lame I lagged out and it didn't take my post. Anyways, depends on the size of the ship, but what Reiha said on price. In any case it's still cheaper. You should try asking about one here and IG via market channels and such.
