'TinyFugue, aka "tf", is a flexible, screen-oriented MUD client, for use with any type of text MUD.' - http://tinyfugue.sourceforge.net/

I have trouble finding, or re-finding posts in the forums about tinyfugue. Searching for tf doesn't work, since it is too short, and often searching for tinyfugue returns many hits that do not really apply because it is in a signature or mentioned in passing. It will be helpful for me to have a thread pointing out other good threads about tinyfugue scripts.

If you do post something about a tf script, or come across one and post a comment, consider adding some keywords that will help with the search, like 'tinyfugue script' or something, linking back to this topic, posting a summary of the thread to this topic if it is not already listed, or all of the above.

A good place to start with tinyfugue scripts that work with Lusternia is bwbettin's collection. If you happen across one of his plethera of posts with an inline paste of his script and attempt to adapt it, you will find that many are interrelated and will either require modification to avoid his commands, functions and aliases or you need the other script. Fortunatly Tzu zipped up a snapshot of the collection and posted it on the Lusternia forums here: http://forums.lusternia.com/index.php?showtopic=4882 Just look for his first reply to the thread and get tf.zip.

Speaking of aliases, I think bwbettin was fond of them. That may work well for you, but when I have used one of his scripts to work off of, I have instead turned them into commands so I have unfettered access to the Lusternia commands. (So for example I type /diag instead of diag to get the local tinyfugue action.)

FInally, as the README notes, you may need a newer copy of tf than your distribution ships. Fortunately Ken wrote it to install and work as well in $HOME/bin as installed system wide and it builds easily (at least on Debian 4.0), so you can grab a recent version and run your own copy.

Are you a tinyfugue user and proud of it, or interested in using it? If so, let others know on the roll call thread: http://forums.lusternia.com/index.php?showtopic=14097
