I just got to level 8 yesterday, and I'm finally able to see/buy somethings that are over 1 level above me. I think 10 is the highest. I've acquired a good helm and armor already.

I have too much gold (on 7).

So, um, what's the trick to getting overpowered gear?

I didn't play from Tuesay through Saturday because of a guest over the holiday, but yes, I play.

Auctions are good, but the best way to get OP EQ? Go to the market, click on "level" twice in the section of gear that you want. You'll see the highest level stuff currently for sale that you can buy, and it's more reliable and usually cheaper than auctions.

Ok, sowwy! Now key to getting the OP stuff is auctions, bid at very short, but near the end of it (about 30 mins. from the very beginning of the very short phase)

The higher the level you are the more cool stuff you will see, same goes with the market. But the market only allows you to see like 1-2 levels above your current level. Now I used the market when I could simply because people who bought the crazy stuff on the auctions would then sell their lesser gear for cheap. But the problem is being able to see it. I got a schiavone for 100 gold there one time and resold it for 1000 and a helm of madness or the like for 2500 instead of it being the normal 4-5k you spend on the auction.

Oh yeah, be prepared to throw down 2000-6000 gold on an auction item if you want to win it. A lot of people will bid up to 6k on some things. So if you bid above 4k on the stuff that is lower (like 12-14) in levels and bid in very short, you have a good chance of not being outbid at the last min.

Another good thing to do is to attack someone (you can use me) that is higher in level. That way, you end up losing and your health falls below 10-25%. By doing this, other people cannot attack you and rob you of your gold. This helps so the lil gold griefers do not rob all your earnings while you save up some gold for the cool auction items.

Yeah but we are at 19k donated I think now, so it will take some time, but when the people in the guild come into their own more, they will be able to donate more.

First get them geared, then get them donatin.... And I think we are in the top 20 guilds there right now, like 19 or something woot!
