Okay, I am at a stop with this.
I have Lendren's Workbench -- I have core, comms, rift, and craft. My system got messed up and all of it had to be removed. I had no reliable backups, and had to import my system again. I attempt to set up Workbench -- but lo and behold, it does not work.
I got it to work, but then I stupidly forgot to save my progress, and could not get it to work again. I decided that it had to be the database; everything up until the point where it has to record into the database works. It's all put in correctly (I have done it at least a dozen times by now), all the aliases work -- but there is NOTHING in the database. I go to File > Open, and get the .dbd that I put into the zMud folder.
I uninstalled zMud and put it back in, thinking it'd 'reset' the database. Well, it didn't, and when I click on DB, this is what I am met with:
CRAFTCAPTURENEW goes through all the motions... but nothing gets recorded there.
Database confuses me. I don't know what to do. I can't seem to catch Lendren at any decent time to assist me. So I hope someone has an answer because I -hate- working in artisan crafts without my workbench.

That's exactly how it's supposed to look when you've just gotten things installed. From there you should be able to do craftcapturenew to repopulate it. (The first time it'll take a while to capture everything!) I think you're doing fine!
Or is craftcapturenew not working somehow, and if so, how?

CRAFTCAPTURENEW does all the motions, but it doesn't capture anything in the database. Database stays blank.

You leave the database window open when you do the capturing? In zMUD, if you close the database window, you kill the whole thing completely. Some people think it's just a viewing area, but it's the entire engine running in there.

I minimize it, but I don't close it. Workbench was working fine until I installed the updated system. Now it just has gone kaput on me.

There's no error messages or anything? That's really weird.
I think you should copy the .dbd file from the most recent .zip file over the old one while zMUD is closed, then open it. Make sure in the database window you see the following headings:
Row Rec ID Appearance Comms Dropped Examined Noun Org Outdoors Tags Type
(You may have to scroll to see them all.)
If that's not what you're seeing, please let me know precisely what's missing. I've never seen anyone have this problem so it may take some serious digging to find the zMUD quirk du jour, but I'll make sure.

I had a friend take a look at it, and he told me to do almost exactly that. It all works now!

Okay, good, if that happens to anyone else I'll know what to advise. Let me know if anything else odd happens!
