The log between Thoros and I. It's long, but a good fight, so worth the read, I hope. No handmaiden for this one.
Also, it was too large for the forums, so here is the link:

Certain words being spoken (or shouted) there were just...saddeningly pathetic.
Ethelon2007-11-23 01:03:28
To be respectful, I must say, your curing has gotten alot better Talkan. On the other hand though, I went through that entire log wondering where the good fight was. I find it funny, nearly the entire fight, Thoros is raping you and you barely make escapes or you use Trueheal or hermit to run and escape. Then over your aether you talk :censor: about Thoros using Ghost when you are only whoring for inquisition nearly the ENTIRE second half of the fight, obviously hoping to pull it off and throw your loaded soulless.
Your curing may have gotten better mate, but your fighting style is still the same as it ever was, running and praying for a lucky break to pull off a kill. There was nothing good about that log aside from trying to count how many times you barely escaped just so in the end, you can drop soulless behind Blackout for the win.

No handmaiden because I killed it, heh.
And if you consider a good fight chasing you around the game, I've got better things to do than play tag next time.

I find it ironic that you comment on someone else's curing.
And in regards to the log, it looked like a good battle. Rarely see one where both parties aren't moving around a bit. Talkan isn't very tanky and Thoros is a demigod with nice weapons. Both are good fighters. I don't see the need to bitch.

I like to move maybe.. a room away and come back. It's annoying when the fight goes across half the map.

Typical CFDS answer. I don't think Ethelon bitched, just explained his opinion in the matter. His comment on curing didn't seem very negative, it seemed positive. You should give credit to Ethelon, he made his own curing, unlike you and I who rely on others to help us with curing. I am sure if you had to rely on your own made curing and not the great curing system you use, you could appreciate what it takes to make it a "good" curing system.
I agree with Forren, moving a room away and back is something that is ok to do, it happens, it has to happen with good fights. When inqui is pulled off, it is best to move a few rooms or hide out to redef (or most likely just cut your losses and run).
But running around the basin, talking crap while burning the hell out of this skill that people swear is not in anyway powerful (aka TH) isn't really much of a fight. Also loaded soulless cards should decay 1hr after they are loaded so they are not kept in shops to perform kills at anytime RL years later.

Hi Ildy! Talking out of your rear again? I do use my own system, which Terenas helped me with at the start of the game. The curing isn't the best, but I can and have held my own. I will be switching to Forren's soon, as I don't have the energy to bring mine up to date. I also don't go around bragging or commenting on others and their curing systems. Ethelon may have wrote his own, but I've heard many complaints about it. Don't get me wrong - it is really nice of him to pass it out for free, but that's that. His analysis of the log didn't seem really positive (really arrogant, actually), but I guess that's just me.
I'm not going to discuss Sacraments with you, as you've pretty much made up your mind on the matter.
Ildaudid2007-11-23 19:30:01
Ok my bad then, and heya Mali!!! But I thought Forren had already given you his system, I noticed improvements in your curing right about the time he got done with the system and I could have sworn that he said he gave it to you already, which I may have misunderstood, since you say you don't have it yet. And yes, seeing TH used so many times does not leave me under the impression of how horribly UP Sacraments are, although moving TH to Healing, then beefing up Sacraments with skills tha Paladins can enjoy (more than numen) would be the proper thing to do.
Malicia2007-11-23 19:38:50
No, my crappy pc isn't running Forren's sparkly cmud system as fast as I'd like, so I'm still using my own until it's sorted.
Annnd...we have talked about a new trans ability for Sacraments, but in the end, I don't really think Estarra or anyone in the administration cares or will do anything about it. The Paladins envoy wasted a slot in Oct. asking to have conglutinate re-added to sacrifice, just to be told no. Keep in mind that most people absolutely hate sacrificing. Secondly, giving trueheal to Healing would make wiccans stronger than they are. I don't see how it'd address the 'Trueheal is so overpowered!' complaint. Even though it's been nerfed, people still complain that it's the reason Sacraments is so amazing. I see trueheal being amazing for titans/demigods who could do it back to back, but that's it. And as far as the inqui line, well, have you looked at AB SACRAMENTS? The inqui line is all they have.

Ildaudid2007-11-23 19:50:47
It sucks that they blew down a slot, I just thought putting it in Healing makes it so Celestines have to choose to have a great defensive skill or choose a more offensive skillset like Tarot. And with the changes to healing I thought it would make it just good all the way around for them. I keep forgetting the Wiccans who can get it, but do you think it would make them too OP?
edit - and if they would move it to healing, there would be no way people can say that sacraments couldn't use a few new offensive skills to replace it.
As for Inqui, it rocks... if you can pull it off, I agree. Amaru would pull it on me, and if I free enough to get the hell outta dodge, that would be my option.

Shamarah2007-11-23 22:56:17
Oh man, trueheal in healing would kick so much ass.
Ildaudid2007-11-24 01:13:29
I really honestly think that is where is should go, what is healing's trans skill. How OP would it be moving TH into healing? I think it will make Cosmics have to choose between tarot combat or TH and healing combat, then be able to put some decent skills for paladins in sacraments. (Yes I think both sacraments and necromancy are geared solely for cosmics and giving them to warriors was more of an afterthought. Sacraments though is worse for a warrior than Necromancy, which is more offensive though.)
oh and Forren, how the hell do you ninja posts in that I missed hours ago but I saw Mali's inital response. So in response to you LOL-she has your system, if she is not using it, that is her buisness, but I was half right, and right in watching her fight a few times with good healing.
-You make good systems, but how is your love life? That is what you should work on, hell you got Ixion right there for the taking
edit- /joke (just so people know I am kidding )

I've never used Forren's system in combat, Ildaudid. Anyways, trueheal doesn't need to be moved to Healing. They can abolish it if we had a better trans ability, that'd help both Celestines/Paladins...increased STR/INT by 2 during the day and even let us die without losing experience! La de da.

Heheh, we could called it Holy Revival
As for the system, I swore right after (a few days) he got it out to you (he said something about how he gave it out to a couple people), There was a raid, and you were there. It could have been a nexus world battle, but I watched how quick you healed and how good it was. Now I have fought with you before with Nico on me at the same time, and that time either you were lagging bad, or you hadn't tweaked all your healing, etc. I did notice a huge differance in your curing though from 3-4 months back and right after the Forren system, which is why I was under the impression you were at least testing it at that time.

Having preconceived ideas can often taint one's view - if I think someone is using an awful system, I'm more likely to notice flaws in curing than if I think they're using the greatest system known to man. The only testing she did of my system was in a manse. You weren't there. Her computer has something wrong with it, where processing that should take x amount of time on a standard pc these days is taking her 4x the amount of time.

Is her computer new? Because I have a fairly new computer, but I've noticed Zmud not processing my variables very fast either. Sometimes I'll sip or eat herbs 3 times in a row before the balance variable can catch back up.

It's older.
One thing I noticed was Windows Vista liked slowing down Cmud control-q by at least ten seconds. I switched back to XP fairly quickly. Lusternia > Pretty graphics.

Indeed, indeed. : )
I've added a few more failsafe variables in addition to my balance one, and so far I'm oversipping-eating a lot less. I think it might just be some slowness in zmud itself.
