Well, I love being a Shadowdancer, but I would really like something different. I thought about doing the alt thing, but I put alot of time and money into my character. Actually, when I finish with all my overtime, I'll have a bunch of time to build up an alt. But I think I'd rather just funnel that energy into my awesome Nievea.
I'm not as creative as I'd like to be. So, I'm just looking for some plot seeds or something. So far, Nievea has been moping around the Master Tree, in Viravain's temple, or her manse. Also, she has been visiting the cities allot. She's been in Celest a little, but she spends a big chunk of her time in Magnagora. I want to spark up some conversations with the city folks, but I've been playing at some odd hours and no ones really around. Well, basically she feels empty and is looking for something. The problem is that neither she, nor I, know what that is exactly.
Here are some of my ideas (I love bulleted lists for some reason):
Anyway, anyone else in a rut? If so: Help me, help you. Everyone else, care to offer suggestions?
Edited to add: When I first came back, I caught wind of a "Glomdoring may be shut down!" scare or something like that. What's the status of that?

Here are some of my ideas (I love bulleted lists for some reason):
- She's currently a Aslaren. She'll become involved with people from Mag, become a Viscanti and hook up with the Nihilists/Cacophony.
- Hook up with Mag, remain Aslaren and go crazy. She'll find a passion that can only be found in the cities and vow to stay there for that passion. Yet, she yearns to return to the wilds. But this crazy city is driving her mad.
- Remain Aslaren, remain in the Shadowdancers (Or maybe join the Harbingers). But take up an interest in Shikari, the Predator. Maybe go a little crazy here too. (Another good one)
- Head to Magnagora, remain Aslaren and relativity sane. Remain somewhat witchy and nature-loving, talk to imaginary, tainted fae. Read bones, talk to dead folk and some other random stuff. (My favorite so far)
- Wait for Mag or Glom to get a Monk guild. Then build some sort of RP around that.
- Embark on a quest to learn more about Viravain or Shikari. Since I wasn't really around for the Wryding stuff and I have no idea what Shikari's about, this should be something I may just do anyway.
Anyway, anyone else in a rut? If so: Help me, help you. Everyone else, care to offer suggestions?

Well, least important things first. Bards won't hurt you much in the way of having few lessons. They're the epitome of having a cheap investment pay dividends with little effort involved (being "useful").
As for interesting RP... it seems like Mag would be the way to go if you would feel more comfortable jumping into what's already established. Plenty of people doing plenty of things there and they handle it well and have an awful lot of fun doing it.
Glomdoring is the route to go if you would be interested in starting something new. Interest in Shikari sounds pretty good, and in all my time there I heard a total of two people talk about him. You could go -anywhere- with things like that and try to make something interesting for people to get involved in and before you know it you'll be getting plenty of enjoyment seeing where they take it from there.

If you'd like some kind of series of Viravain vision quests, I have a pocketful of them I use for new inquirers to the faith.

Oooh! Come to Magnagora! Be a Cacophony!
I need friends. *puppy eyes*

Just go crazy, that's the way to go.
Sad to hear you'll be leaving the Shadowdancers, but I guess it's no fun if you don't want to be there... Sorry for being boring

Nooo, you're not boring! I love you guys. Nievea's been a Shadowdancer for 80+ game years; ever since I created her. And her player's attention span is so very short. I'm really surprised I've even played this character this long and she's the level that she is.
Thanks for the replies too. Those vision quests sound like a cool idea, too.

Come to Mag either way, I loved our little interaction via letters! No one bothers to write letters these days.

Thanks! I did too. I try to write letters whenever I could send a message - just because I can.
