I see nothing wrong with encouraging raiding? Not to mention, it's not like it's exp loss free. The person who dies still lost exp, the avatar loses essence.

Prime raiding would be a good thing, while at the same time the costs are low enough to be used from time to time anyways.

You missed most of the arguments against it then or what I see as the arguments against it. People are against it cause avatars/demis hoard power. While some may use this once in awhile at the current 250k costs, I think more people would use it more often than once in awhile. The lower the cost the more often things are use. Take zapping for example. People wouldn't zap nearly as much if it cost 50k a zap. In the end, a lower cost would end up with a higher total essence cost from more usage.

That's a good argument in theory, but you said yourself most avatars reside in Celest and Serenwilde where they already have other means of rezzing. When you guys can resurgem, I doubt you'd be looking to use your avatar essence to do it... no matter how cheap it was.
