You keep it. You don't actually lose any of your VIP items/skills, you just can't go and get a new one.

The CEO tab at the top doesn't go away?

Shouldn't, since it only appears once you have the job itself (not VIP status). Further, according to the Newbie forum, you can keep on running your companies/doing CEO without VIP. You just can't start a new one.

Doing a competition in Paris right now. I have no clue how well I will do, but I am on my 3rd encore which hopefully means I will pull at least a mediocre out of this gig. I want to place in the top 3 for this competition and get a little fame and maybe a cut of the 12,000 prize money.

I am scared to ask for towels, let alone demand the wierd :censor: people demand for riders.

I got only mediocre in the last contest. So I am tied for third right now. Which means one of the other bands will probably get above avg or higher and boot me down to 4th.

Although I did make 5th place in a competition which wasn't bad since they winners were all ranked 1-200 of the rock scene. (Which for those of you who aren't in the rock genre scene = super super super high. I am ranked 2364 out of like 16000. But for me to be ranked in the top couple 100 is a lot harder than say a flamenco band to be in the top 100.) So I don't feel too terrible.

I have a good feeling about this next competition I am in, in which I am the highest ranked band playing in it. So I should place top 3 in that (hopefully 1st) I really need some fame and a bus

Well, I let people keep their riders (if it's not too high), but I also take out a portion of their cut from the ticket sales. If it's a small rider, like the towels, I let them have that for free.

What exactly are riders and what do they do??

Riders are demands for the artist when they perform at a club.

Go to your career page and then click on Rider, you will have a list of things you can ask for when you play at clubs.

Now as to what happens if they are accepted or declined, you would have to ask a club CEO or someone that knows. Since I have never asked for anything, I have no clue if it makes it better or worse for you if declined/accepted.


At some point I would like Hookers and drugs and stuff on my rider, but alas I am still too nervous to ask for a towel so... that is a long ways off.

They improve the ending quality of your show. Don't know exactly how much, but experienced people without riders noticed a substantial drop from their old show quality.

So whats up with all the clubs with the 0 rider limit. It seems like it would be hard for people to use riders or else they would have to send PM's to every single place they go to see if they will have their rider accepted. Hell I am so lazy I don't like having to ask them to make sure they set my sales to 1000+. I tried it in Ankara one time and the idiot never responded so I had 30 days on a show that already 500 tickets sold.

If I can I try to stick with one single club name and hit my shows there. Like NY I try to get the BlueNote, and I have alot with HTita Rocks, that way later on I am hoping that they know I use there clubs whenever possible and will grant me my hookers and drugs.

Oh yeah, surprised Reiha hasn't posted here about her popowedding. Who all is gonna be able to attend? I know alot of people have tours and such. But I was wondering who would be able to make it.

Even if I'm on tour, I'll make sure our group tours in New York for her wedding.

Back when I was a club CEO, I stuck on the locale description that riders that were over 33% of club profits a week before the show were going to be rejected. The default was 0. It had to be. Some shows just plain don't sell. It's really just a matter of having an active owner or CEO, and you take that risk with any booking.

I've managed to get away with low-end rider stuff so far... towels, dressing room, and beverages =) I try not to go overboard to be courteous to the club.

I will definitely be at the wedding too! But it's still 2 months away. (And strangely I've been seeing a lot of your sister around the forums lately Reirei)

Also I must ask again what's important to improve and maintain locale quality? The hotel I was CEO'ing used to be perfect but it dropped to incredible
