I'd recommend traveling the other direction to gain time rather than lose it. Otherwise, that's looks fairly logical.

I don't follow, but I bet it has to do with time zones and those REALLY confuse me. That's why I allow (2 if the flight is > 12 hours) 1 full day of traveling, and then 1 day for the show.

It has to do with time zones yes. If you travel west, you'll have more time between shows. Except during the trip to Melbourne from Buenos Aires. If you travel east, you have less time, because you keep losing hours as you move eastward.

So when am I able to take the pictures for the moneys?

No longer a VIP, but I still have my cellphone and all of its nifty features.

I think you can only receive calls and not make them, but yea it never goes away, from what I heard.
Unknown2008-03-22 03:45:39
Actually... I kept my cellphone for a few days after my VIP expired too.
And then it disappeared suddenly and life was never the same again (until I got another subscription).

I can still make calls, buy stuff, etc.
If it disappears in a few days, though, I'm a sad panda.

I can't seem to find anywhere that tells me what kind of an effect riders have on our shows. Like what will a production office do for me, if I have no staff, or an artist's crew room without any crew, do they do the same if I do have crew?

From what I hear... nobody is 100% sure. Plenty of people have theories if you ask, though, I think. (On a related note: one person said for sure, if the rider isn't met, the show quality goes down. Those who have never had riders still have the same level of quality from their shows.)
And this made me very sad...

Pallas Athena goes for an encore with If I could fart stars, I'd expel a Galaxy for you but the audience was expecting something more and starts heading for the exit.

Hmm... That's an interesting point. Have you noticed it having much of an effect, though? I suppose the only way I could really save time at this point is to try to travel the same day as my shows, but that makes me nervous. If I'm devoting a full day (or two, if flight>12hrs) to traveling, I'm not sure it matters, but thank you for pointing it out, regardless. (If I'm wrong, please let me know!)
I'm hoping to run my default setlist by the lot of you; I'm hoping to make it the best I can. Let me know if I've screwed something up? I will not normally have BOOST audience mood in my default setlist, but I want the next show to be the best it can be.
1 Spectacular stage entrance
2 Play I'd Give You Paper But We're Out Of It (I ♥ You)

If you are going to use boost mood, do it around 18-20... You want to get a high audience score for when you leave the stage. But I wouldn't boost the mood at all... It takes ALL of the power meter in your band bar. And you can use that meter for jamming songs up to 100%. I think that is what Shayle told me is possible. Like when you get that meter full. You can choose an options to auto make all yer repetoire songs to 100%. Which would be alot better (since my idea would be to get some new covers with high popularity and insta boost them to 100%)
It doesn't seem like you have crank up the volume at all in the list. If so I didn't notice it. Again. Something like that should be placed near the last 2 songs (before encores) as well.
And the instrumental solo, make sure whoever is doing it has the skills required for it or it might hurt worse than help. I think you have to have composing, and musical improvisation to be able to even attempt a successful solo. (I might be wrong)
Other than that... nothing really, just add in a crank up the volume near the end, and consider not using the boost mood. Since you don't seem to have the volume thing already in... It gives like 5*'s so you can save the boost.
Unknown2008-03-22 21:24:22
Oh, I didn't know about the volume thing either. That'll be useful =D
I boosted one of my shows before not knowing exactly how it worked. But it was pretty amazing... people fainted and groupies took their shirts off, and it gave the absolute maximum number of stars

Ildaudid2008-03-22 21:27:29
Yeah I did the boost before hearing that it can be used for jamming instead too. I am waiting to fill it so I can use it to get a whole new repetoire of real popular songs. The volume won't be 6*'s as a Boost is, but it is 5*s normally, the only problem is if you do it at a club that doesn't have the wattage. But normally I don't see that problem happen, since well most of us don't have giant amps and most the clubs can handle at least 70-99k watts.
Shayle2008-03-22 21:30:37
Boosting doesn't use ALL of your boost meter, but it is a very large percent. It is better not to use it though, because yes, you can use a full boost meter to freshen up your repertoire quickly, jamming all songs in your repertoire to 100% instantly, and that includes anything new you add before your release the boost.
The default setlist is a bit misleading though. I find if you don't make modifications to your setlist often, something that started great is just going to end up sucking a few shows down the line. Keeping your repertoire fresh is a lot more work than you'd think. Moriana and I are always messing with ours. I usually end up importing our setlist from each previous show, and tweaking it...sometimes a lot.
My best advice is to save your best songs for the end, and save your very best song for an encore. They'll walk out on your if your encore song is bad, and walking out on an encore is awful for show ratings.
