The more I read about the people who run/moderate Popomundo, the less impressed I am with them.

What was the reason for the block? Something related to your blog?
I couldn't find the thread on the forums you may have been referring to, but I remember this one discussion between some guy and Roberta Stanley (a mod); that one became a mud-slinging fest pretty fast.

For some CRAZY INSANE CRAZY REASON, she likes to change her password daily, and then forgets it. I wouldn't be surprised if they soon lock you out FOREVER. So stop changing your password so often!

Explain? Examples?

It had to do with me: getting impatient after 24 hrs, trying 5 times wrong to guess my password, and I still haven't heard anything from them!

I think it's taking them an espeically long time to get back to me, which I blame on the blog.

I thought my browser was screwing up when I looked at my relationships window today. Hmm new changes bad or good?

1. Interactions are now divided into different categories (verbal, physical, phone, sexual etc.) Your interactions with one person will be limited to one interaction per category per day up to a total of three per day.

2. A lot of interactions are only available in specific locales and to people engaged in certain activities.

3. No one gets automatically moved home when having sex.

4. A new set of character attitudes will help you unlock different interactions sooner or later. (We'll launch these right away.)

5. Chaste and Promiscious aren't the same anymore. Being chaste isn't a guarantee you wont have sex with someone but it sure gets a LOT harder. Likewise being promiscious isn't a guarantee you can have sex with someone simply by performing the right interactions first but it's A LOT easier.

6. Keep in mind that boosting your partners mood, love or hate as high as possible isn't necessarily the best way to maintain a good relationship. There has to be a healthy balance between both character moods in order for a relationship to thrive.

7. Stay clear of reaching the higher levels of romantic and hateful relationships if you aren't prepared to face the consequences of sexual acts or acts of violence. (Some interactions can SERIOUSLY hurt your character!)

8. There's currently well over 100 interactions available in this new system, and we'll add more as we go along.

9. Beware of jealousy.

They also destroyed a lot of relationships. Like some of mine, one in particular that has been worked at for 3 weeks, went from 86%+ friendship and 76%+ romance (apparently routinely having bad sex is bad for relationships ) to the low 30's

It seems like they halved it. I had 100% friendship with Kharaen's character and now it's 50%.

Same here. I like the new additions but 1 interaction-type a day (especially if it's just a phone call) feels really limited.

I really don't like the new relationship one.

Can't learn from my mentor until I get it back up to 70% (it was at 80%, now, 43%)...and the 3 interactions a day is really going to slow this down. It took a long enough time to make relationships a pain just to get to the 80%.

I had a few 100% relationships, now they're down to 50 - the halving really sucks. I'm glad I finished the one skill learning before they did this. I like having categories, but...the rest is painful. Previous relationships shouldn't have taken so much of a blow. New ones can be more difficult, but..previous ones shouldn't have been halved. Especially with how slow it'll be to build them back up.

The devs insist it wasn't halved-- it was doubled! Well, the maximum was doubled... so it just *looks* like it was halved. Or something. (I guess this means it'll take longer for a good relationship to decay?)

Unless the need for mentoring to be at 70% was also dropped in half to 35-40% to compensate...it's been cut in half. Same effect, doubling means nothing.

Yep. It was kind of odd how they phrased it, "This is a good thing, unless you're a pessimistic glass-is-half-empty sort of person!"

I'm reserving judgment until I see how things really are.

And I expect that it's still in flux. It's pretty hard to figure out this thing with the current limit on it.

It's also not as easy to end a relationship as they made it seem. :/

The new relationships, like I said in their forums, its a great theory and an awesome idea. They just need to make the limit a little higher IMO.

I don't like that I can only call someone 1 time per day(if they are in another city), no matter how much it may move up the relationship (although I know from checking the 1 calls I made that they didn't even move up 1% in either category.

I will have to reserve final judgement for when it is totally and completely implemented though.

I know that if it stays 3 max in same cities and 1 max on phone (and the 1 phone call doesn't do a big boost), I will be ending a lot of relationships except for the ones that were already at 100% when it started.

I just don't think I will ever be able to build the relationship up enough with 1 phone call a day to bother. It would be like bailing water out of a sinking ship with a teaspoon. And since the game encourages you to travel, well I doubt I will ever stay in one city long enough to be able to interact with some people enough to build up anything. So don't be offended if I drop one of you and keep another (it was because I had 100% with them already)

But Mr. Jonas said that the 1 call should make a difference. So I want to give him the benifit of the doubt and hope it does. But if it doesn't then it would only make phones more pointless... well it could be used for bookmarks.

I really do hope they have a better help file on it than the one they have now though. At least the old one had a description of each attitude. This new one is just so vauge. I can't wait to go around hateful and such and pick fights with people, but have to see what type of laws there are against that. Putting people in the hospital would be kind of neat >.>


@Xenthos, yea that person being arrested for breaking relationships was cleared I think.... The person who arrested them though, wow what a friggin nutcase. Talk about a psycho.
