I'm trying to finish the "stay in a hotel task" but thanks for the offer!
Also, I'm finding the whole "go to a university and learn" thing actually very hard to do!

Yeah, I remember when I first started. Getting a relationship to the point of being able to ask to be an apprentice took forever, it seemed! Try changing your personality to friendly or super friendly for a little while. Your personality influences how easily your relationships advance.
It's a good idea to message the person you're trying to learn from to let them know you want to learn from them so they can interact back with you. Also, one teacher can only have so many students before their lessons become ineffective. So, messaging first will keep you from wasting time trying to apprentice to someone who's already teaching too many people.

I'm not 100% on this, but I think if you don't have an apartment in a town, and your artist has their hotel priority set, you automatically stay in a hotel even if you're physically standing in an apartment at the sleep update.
But I could be totally wrong so don't take my word for it. Someone else prolly knows for sure.

In my experience, if I've been STANDING in the friend's apartment when the sleep update occurs, I won't get charged for the hotel fee.
Ask Fabula Mirabilis. They've had hotel issues in the past. >_> >_>

Really? Cool beans then! Makes me wish I'd left my apartments in New York and Nashville open so touring Lusternians could use them then!

hmm, messages, those are wierd things...
I've asked 5 people to apprentice me, they've all ignored me. But one of them went on a date with me instead.

Be careful accepting dates. Sometimes people ask you out and they don't have the money to pay. If you don't have enough money to make up the difference, the two of you will have to wash dishes and it's a hit to your mood.
Daganev2008-04-11 21:41:56
Yeah I found that out. I asked them for a date and picked the first resturant name I saw, which asked for $500-$1000 *oops*

That's cheap for a date in Popo.

It's prolly to keep people from coming up with a lot of really dumb names. Like Rockstar Von Superawesome. Though, some of the ones provided are hilarious!
Oh, and once your star quality gets to 50% you can give yourself a stage name. Which, if you look at the Paparazzi list, which show the stage names of the stars, it kinda proves my point! I bet some of those folks would be trying to use those as their character's real name! "Demon of Guitar"
Prisch2008-04-13 23:42:41
True.
You also can't live in Japan in the game, so I'm assuming its a failsafe to keep all the anime/jpop fans OUT.

Nah, they just don't have any cities in Japan yet is all. They don't have any anywhere in Africa yet either. Only three in the US. Most of their cities are in Europe and Turkey has like a crazy amount of cities!

Everyone just lives in London. You can be from the most obscure places like Lithuania..? What?
If they let me choose my own name I'd probably play it frequently. And they call it a roleplaying game.

Sooo...
... Athena is a cow?
@ Noola's super rant: Yikes, that sounds confusing! Being the CEO of a club is a lot simpler it'd seem
@ Prisch: I was a little turned off by not being able to pick my own name or even background at first, but I've grown to like who my character is. I always had the hardest time thinking up of an interesting name anyway
Prisch2008-04-14 02:06:22

I've let all the employees know that they might not get paid for this week, just in case. Only heard back from two of them, one of them left but told me to let them know if the pres came back cause she wanted the job back if so, and the other said that I was awesome for letting her know and that she'd stick it out this week and only leave if it turned into two weeks with no pay.
But if it turns into two weeks, I'll prolly look for a new CEO job myself. Maybe at a Club. Clubs sound fun, from what I've read.

Also, *smack Acrune* This game really just takes a handful of minutes a day, so it's not as exciting as you may have expected it to be

Yeah, it's not action packed or anything.
But it is fun and the fact that you can play it with only a few minutes a day or even every few days is a plus in my opinion.
