You think you've got it tough. Veonira won't respond to any of my messages in ANY virtual realm. Talk about bad for the self-image.

Somedays it's just hard to reply to you in a serious fashion. laugh.gif

I can't imagine why.

Hey I reply to you! But the last one you sent, or second to last, left me at a loss for words tongue.gif. Something about my seductive giggling which led to something about a living room floor ohmy.gif.

Don't expect anything from Veonira. She wouldn't even interact with me when I had her drooling over the thought of my manly body. She is a cold, heartless wench.
Xenthos2008-01-15 05:31:19
Learned the skill Drums. I hope this will help my career.

Woo! Just a bit more dancing, and then I think I'm about ready to start looking into shows.

Your picture is hideous. And I mean that in the nicest way possible.

And Xenthos... you haven't played a show since leaving the band? ohmy.gif

Edit:
I've been laid off, and now I'm going to earn around 1200-1500 a week - which isn't so bad, but I'm sad the firm didn't do well. losewings.gif

And from Athena's sexy Aussie lady friend:

@Reiha: I resent the use of Ian's last name that way. It's so pathetic that people will resort to snide remarks to compare themselves favorably to other potential lovers.

@Veo: Did you get that last message where I made some snide remarks to compare myself favorably to other potential lovers?

2) She's Got My Bow and Won't Let Go
3) Resin Me (All Night Long)
4) Plucking Your G-String

Why would I? I've been jamming each day to get 13 songs up to decent quality, just learned Drums, and am working on dancing to get three stars. Can learn a few other dancing things then, and THEN I'll be ready to do a few shows. Don't feel like doing it halfway. Not sure if I want to learn a little Latin Music to practice the shows more, though-- just being able to fill both my roles in the band might be enough.

Decent ratings and a good crowd, if I hype it up a bit. Hopeful to get an average or below-average instead of around a dreadful. I've had enough dreadful-horrible-abysmals!

Unfortunately, from what I've been learning, skills and jammed songs are a very small piece of the puzzle. Some of the more experienced players have told me that the songs you play (covers and whatnot) need to be suited to your band's capabilities. So, for instance, I have been avoiding covering songs that require four and five instruments, since Hailey just plays violin.

I've also learned that your fame in a city heavily affects crowd turnout, as well as how much they can charge for tickets. Recently I found out that playing in the same city over and over again does nothing for your fame...but I'm rather focused on making artist money...since it's really necessary...because ANOTHER aspect of a good show is your equipment, which you can't have without a tour vehicle of some sort...the list is endless!

Really, the more I learn, the more amazed I am by how complex things are! Moriana and I are hopefully teaming up soon...that should help a lot in moving forward...since being a solo artist just means that most things take double the time!

I was told to just ignore the "required instruments" thing when I asked. And yeah, I know about the fame, but I would definitely like to let the artist pay for its own jamming and booking instead of paying out-of-pocket, and dealing with air-travel frequently! So I think sticking around London earning cash for a while is the way to go.

What takes twice as long as a solo artist? It seems like you still have to do the same stuff either way-- get your own skills up, get cash, etc. Or do you earn more with a larger artist?

Genre stars (for jamming purposes) combine, so if one band member has 2* in the genre, and the other has 3*, you can jam songs to 100%. Plus you have two people composing, so you can release albums/singles far sooner, which increases fame, and revenue...

Fame is the most important thing so far as I've been told, and so far, it's working!
