Actually, mini-van thingys can only be bought with artist money, or I'd have bought one a while ago. I heard from one of my advice-givers that buying the poorer quality vans will cost you in break downs too. So stay away from vehicles that are "dented" or "used" etc.

But that's my goal right now. One tour bus...well, mini-van, non-used or dented or crappy in any way!

I'm shooting for the end of February/beginning of March to own something that can get me from place to place. You can always upgrade! Just need to make sure that you're not buying something that is crappy! I'm looking at the $18K minivan, or the $27K deluxe minivan.

Going to place a personal ad here, since I'd rather do this with people I semi-know than complete strangers:

Mark Ibbotson is considering joining a band that's interested in pursuing a musical career.

He currently has 3* in Percussions, 3* in dancing, and has learned basic drums (along with the 5* Manners from Mom). He can learn any of a variety of dance-types depending on what the band prefers. (Choices include: Erotic Dancing, Folk Dancing, Moonwalking, Breakdancing).

Currently, he is able to do one jam session per day while keeping in good mental and health balance, and would like a band that follows approximately the same schedule when staying in one location. However, this obviously changes when on tour, due to the exhausting nature of plane flights.

Genre doesn't matter. He bought and learned a Latin Music book, but he hasn't actually learned any stars in it. In fact, that's the point of this post-- he's trying to decide whether to stick with Latin Music (and spend time learning it), or if another genre will work (in which case he'd spend time learning some stars in that). Drums seem to be a part of every single genre, from rock to classical, so it doesn't really matter at all.

He's currently "learning from teacher," but once he's decided whether or not he's sticking with this band or is settled in a new one, he'll switch to promoting. He's currently taking a break from improving skills for another 2-3 days because he was starting to get a bit "bored" with improving-- but he'll be right back into it soon.

Alternatively: Élan Vital could use another member or two, interested in a schedule as related above. It's a Latin Music band, with 13 songs. 12 of those songs are currently as jammed as they can be with the band's current Latin Music skill (up to 55%).

It's not really band hopping in this case. Élan Vital is my own little "homegrown garage" band with nothing else in it-- all it's got is a few songs that I collected and jammed. Think of it as being in a "rogue" state with some guild skills still left. If there are no options, I'll work on getting the solo band going, but I would like to see if there's anything else out there. I just haven't done anything much with it yet!

(And no, leaving a band where the only person left is running around learning crime skills does not count! Hmph.)

Not just crime skills, but skills to further improve the band... How else could we break into people's houses to steal zombie parts and keep our mood/health up for extended world tours >.>
