I don't know if we have anyone in Helenski, but do your mother quests, because at some point one of her quests is called "learn a skill" and you will be able to learn a basic skill from her. Just keep it up, and eventually come to London or something if you wanna see Ash and Kromsh's band of pedophiles or if you want to see Kalaak and Veo's band.

I already gave him a key, and there is a 700 gold charge for apartments. I've been having the same problems with my mentors, too, and it's pissing me off. I know one of us managed to start learning from their mentor already, but I don't remember who.

You get mentors by interacting enough with someone who is willing to teach (check their priority thing) and when you get the friendship high enough, you get an option in the interacting thing to ask them to teach you. When you do that switch your priority to that learning from Master/Mistress thing and follow them.

No problem on the date. I think the best part was doing the dishes at Mickey D's They should use disposable stuff hehe

I think if your Artist has hotel preferences set, you always stay in a hotel. But I might have read that wrong.

My highest level friendship so far is only at 52% It does take a while to get a mentor relationship going, doesn't it?

I'm tryin to learn some skills so I can succeed better at the jamming and shows, yo!

You have to have a friendship of 70% before someone can take you on as an Apprentice.

Then you Learn from/Master ...and I understand this may take several times for you to learn a new skill. Thankfully you can do this concurrently with several Masters if you are in the same area, which is why the Universities are great.

And, unfortunately, it seems to take a few days of maximum mood for friendship to get that high. Being a newbie really bites in this game.
