I found a CEO position for a hotel in the classifieds that pays 3.5k a week. I thought about contacting the owner to see if he wanted me to do anything to improve the locale, but naaah I think this is more relaxing martinis.gif

BTW, I will be in Toronto for some time doing some teaching (the skills I'm doing are in my blog). Look for 'Ron Villareal' (he'll usually be at U of T) and say Hi!

I contacted the owner asking if there was more I could do and he told me that he trusts me completely (aka not really) and raised my salary to 4500. tongue.gif

Yeeeah, I'm sure you only "contacted" the owner.

I am only paid 3k a week, but remember I just say "I need some money for this and that" and I get 10k. I don't mind my job at all smile.gif

suspicious.gif Is there a specific book that I have to purchase to learn that ability?

Anyone know Turkish? These riders are killing me, and I hate not knowing how to communicate with people.

Its a rare book it is called "Ildaudid secrets of wooing women." I am not sure if you have to do a quest to find it or not.

But one skill just had me write a song for a girl. I msg'd her the lyrics and she said she absolutely loves the song. Lets see what happens now smile.gif I love making the women in Popo happy smile.gif

And the best thing I am not a whore. I haven't even snuggled anyone. Well I do bang the groupies, but they don't count! smile.gif

I saw you!!
Now, I hope busking gives me more money to buy stuff. I still haven't completed the 'give someone an item' wish.

Buy a bowl of strawberries for $3. Give it to some person you know. Done.

Gelo, I actually want to kill off my character and play in Toronto. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to kill her though.

You'll need to find voodoo powder or poison. Both are not really that easy to get, as they can be costly, unless you find someone who feels bad for you and hands it over.

You can easily move yourself to Toronto! Plane tickets aren't THAT expensive if you fly 2nd class. By Friday you'll have enough to buy one, if you have a job. I'd bet that raising the $1000 you need to fly to Toronto and rent an apartment is cheaper than finding the $2000 you'll need to buy poison/voodoo powder.

Plus you'll be closer to finishing mom's tasks. smile.gif

I'm kind of stuck in the middle of nowhere >.> I used an item in a bar and it did that. I think it might be a bit cheaper to fly to Toronto...and though my job pays 700 and I've been lost outside of the city almost since I made the character and go t employment, I've somehow managed to earn 800$ so far. (And 125$ busking.) Kay, maybe I'll move to toronto and rent an appartment when I can find my way back to Nashville.

It's hard at first, because you don't really have any idea what you're doing, and I totally understand that!

If you wanted to save money...you could hitchhike to Toronto, which would take a bit longer, but cost you less, and then it would be really easy to rent the apartment (which will cost you $700 for the initial contract).

Hitchhiking is easy. When you get back to Nashville, go to the city page, and look for travel routes. Move yourself to the Nashville-NY route, set your priority to "hitchhike" and wait. Soon you'll get picked up, and you'll end up in NYC. Then you can do the same thing to get from NY to Toronto. It will take a little longer than flying, but it's free!
Kharaen2008-02-13 16:09:52
I think I'll fly though, since it IS a mother's wish. But I'll keep hitchhiking in mind if I'd want to go back to Nashville. I wouldn't though, vive le Canada libre!

2008-02-12 Master-Apprentice rework
We've made some big changes to this system. Along with the upcoming school system we hope this will both be easier to understand and more convenient to work with. Read More»

First of all: The teacher will be required to know the skill Basic Teaching. A Master must also have 5 stars in a skill to be able to teach it to someone. When one of his students learns the skill the Master will immediately improve the selected skill himself. (But not before the apprentice gets the eureka message.) As the master's skill level increases it becomes harder and harder to become better. Those last couple of stars will be real hard to get.

Although it's possible for a master to have as many apprentices as he/she likes, the master/apprentice relationship is the most efficient when there's only one apprentice. The more apprentices the less effective the techings will become. There will be an enforced upper limit of maximum 10 apprentices per master though.

VIP Masters are also able to see the progress of the student along with the usual information on the apprentice page. The progress bar shows how likely it is for each apprentice to learn the skill in his next update.

Some former bugs and "bugs" that should be erased thanks to the new system:
* Teaching kids flaws
* Getting false messages about absent apprentices
* You don't have to wait for the "started listening to master" message.

This new system will go live during the day (Wednesday). Stay tuned for more info regarding the upcoming school system which will enable masters to teach their skills to a greater number of students in a less personal fashion...

NOTE: Since there's a ton of players with up to a thousand apprentices we're deleting all current master/apprentice relationships where the master have over 20 students. (Even though the normal limit is 10.)

I really, really hope the school system is good. Otherwise this is gonna hurt us new players while only improving upon the experience for older experienced players. (And sorry guys, I guess I won't be able to teach you any skills anytime soon... unless you want to learn about Electronica tongue.gif)

Oh and non-VIP must suffer cheesy jewelry and Japanese advertisements now too killsign.gif

I liked this change. Heh. I think it goes to show that you can't please everyone all the time in ANY game!
Unknown2008-02-13 16:40:07
I guess I'm mostly grumpy about it because it has really put some of my plans down the pipe. And I can see what they're trying to do, but the changes could've been a little bit more moderate rather than going to these new extremes! roast.gif
