SAW.. you may want to try using 's instead of <>'s... that'll help your posts, just so you know. BBcode, instead of HTML...
That said... I have a question... what exactly are those bottles used for?

When you influence, you get esteem. This esteem can be imbued into items - bottles, clothes, flowers, vials... basicly if you probe something and it says it is imbued with 0% esteem, you can imbue it. Anyway, once imbued, the item can be offered to a God/Goddess just like corpses. It's a way for folks who like to influence more than hunting to be able to offer essence to their Divine.
Some folks sell em for gold too.

Ninja-ed. Ignore me.

Aethershops are a colossal waste of money. 1000cr x 4500g = 4.5 million gold - it will take you a LONG time to make that much back. Just buy a shop in a city/commune.

EDIT: There is nothing to see, here. Which is too bad, because it was hilarious.

Shush.

They're never for sale. Or at least they are rarely. Course, like Celest has a deal where you can rent one for a certain amount of time, which is nice. But even still, with city/commune shops, if you have to be away unexpectedly for a long period, they get taken away and anything you had in them, including gold, you won't get back. (I know this from experience. ) Not that I blame the orgs for this, I mean - you don't want a buncha empty shops sitting around after all.
But, I want to have an aethershop someday too. That way, I can run a shop and sell things and if life happens and I have to vanish for a bit, when I return, all the gold and stuff will still be there when I return.

Alcohol raises my -perceived- Charisma, but I'm informed it does not increase my -actual- Charisma.
Wouldn't it be the other way 'round? Alcohol raises the charisma of other people. And the next thing you know is that you wake up to a man. With bad makeup.
EDIT: That's what I heard, at least. Never drank a drop of alcohol in my life.

I realize I might never make up the cost of an aethershop... but having one would be fun. Each point of gold is like a point on your scoreboard in a sense!

I dunno. I hunt an average of 50k per RL day. Could be more if I were fully skilled out and/or artifacted, or if I were more up on moneymaking quests.
I've drawn up a ship design that includes everything except the ram, plus a second aetherhold for 11 rooms. I figure it would only take me about 2 months to hunt up the money for it, manse costs, aethership costs everything except furniture. Considering I'm working towards Demigod anyhow...
It's doable.

Zing, wrong. I've made well over 4.5 mil gold already in my aethermanse shop.

Thrones are incredibly expensive (upwards near 70-100k+), and add +2 cha, which lasts until you QQ. The thrones last 300 months or so. You could also ask to build it in a ship you have access to, or in a manse a friend would have. The throne MUST be tuned to you when it's made, or it will not add any charisma to your stats.
My thrones last 600 months, and my least expensive model is 63,000 gold. That's 105 gold per month. If they could make infused platters for charisma, I bet they'd cost a lot more than that.

There's a difference between an up-front cost and a monthly cost that's 1/600th of that. A big part of it is perception, but not all.

You need to have a manse or somewhere in your commune to build a throne (if in the commune, then you need to have Divine permission, I think).

Hope that answers all your questions!

Do not need permission -technically- to build a throne in the commune/city, just...people are going to be pissed if it just shows up. I know people who've built thrones in guildhalls, though.
