is it possible i was thinking a bard with hyperactive tarot faeling would be able to pump out enough aeon to do what ever they need to do to win ideas comments?
Shamarah2007-12-11 20:04:30
Tarot is useless for bards apart from soulless. They have no way of sticking aeon.
Malarious2007-12-11 20:05:07
No they wont, they cant enforce the aeon and they would burn all their power for the short time hyperactive lasts.. only tarot uses balance so at best they could aeon and stupidity really.. they wouldnt kill with it. Its rather crappy.
Nezha2007-12-12 01:32:54
darn.. and i was thinking of being a bard with tarot.. *flop*
Unknown2007-12-12 05:41:45
though...hyperactive faeling would be stupid fast.

Recessional is the only way to make use of aeon.

Seriously, though, Glamours is so much better than Tarot, it's ridiculous.

You're going Cantors?!?!?

And yes...colourburst alone beats Tarot, and that's the first Glamours ability.
Shamarah2007-12-12 11:49:37
Actually, soulless is quite good for bards, but not worth giving up glamours for imo.
Ceren2007-12-12 17:37:45
Especially now that you can dodge it by moving out of phase.
Nezha2008-02-25 07:36:58
I got it inside my head and now i cant get it out..

ack, i want to be a cantor-tarot.. it will be interesting i wager, and the soulless will be good.. i got some ideas that if it works will be sweet..

problem is, im scared to lose all those lessons and find out that what i thought off doesnt work..

and soulless is a single-trick thing..

and illusoryself is soo verygood.. i got saved by it so many times..

but im mesmerized by this idea..

*shakes head trying to clear it of vapors*

Cantors can use tarot. Soulless is cool. Recessional sticks aeon decently, but it makes you more reliant on luck than skill. I wouldn't say it's worth giving up glamours, but it can be done.

psh a few more Glamours nerfs and it should be near worthless Cheers!

Glamours is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from worthless.
Unknown2008-02-26 17:02:16
Not really All glamours is is the same 5 afflictions over and over again.

Tarot is the same two afflictions. Runes are powerful for a druid because of one affliction. What's your point?

What are you talking about? No it doesn't. Recessional only ticks 33% of the time. Let's say that faeling balance on an aeon tarot is 3 seconds (it's probably slightly more but whatever) - that means recessional would have to tick three times in a row to stop you from curing aeon, which is a 3.6% chance.

Soulless, on the other hand, could potentially be very good for a bard: icewall all exits, blanknote, perfectfifth, blanknote immediately on them eating earwort, soulless. However, it could be avoided by not letting the bard icewall all the exits, or moving upon becoming deaf after being perfectfifthed.

I think it's more the inability to control them than the actual afflictions or number thereof.
Malarious2008-02-27 10:23:36
A fast tarot race could see use with tarot. Hangedman to hinder (mugwump web enchant is better though), soulless for a kill, aeon... bards arent so much set up for that, moon for the heck of it I suppose, but hermit, catacombs, and starleaper for escape utility.
