This is probably moot point/dumb question, but do you have it update itself? If you have an always-connected-to-the-web kind of connection, then everytime you log in/turn the computer on, it will update. Otherwise, you need to do it manually when you're connected to the internet.

AVG updates itself every day. I update Adaware myself, every week. I made sure everything was updated before I did a scan. I suppose I just didn't catch anything because nothing was detected or infected. Well, nothing out of the ordinary.

What was the virus that everyone was catching? Something from IE, virtumonde, etc?

It's really that dissimilar to IE?

It has less similarity to IE than Firefox does, since even Firefox shares some common lineage through Mozilla, while Opera is completely its own program with over a decade of development.

But both are slaves to the vulnerabilities introduced by third-party programmers.

No, Opera won't substantially protect your computer.

Xavius is right. Also, the weather forecasts are wrong: there's always a 50% chance of rain because it is either going to rain or it isn't.

Not true, it could sprinkle or fog or snow. Those are all forms of rain that are not exactly rain

Is Scry still virused?

I do believe there was a post a while back saying that the Scrying Pool is back open for business.

Pie is clearly better.
Xavius2007-12-15 07:32:10
Speaking of, has anyone confessed to their part in the ruined pie scheme?

Pie is clearly better.

It's exactly the same. It's round, and thus suitable for people who have trouble getting points.

My antivirus just detected a virus when I surfed to the scrying pool doh.gif
Acrune2007-12-17 15:54:02
Odd, mine doesn't. Where did you go on the site to get it?

I surfed there 4 times today, not including surfing to links inside, and only got the virus warning the first time. confused.gif

Burke2007-12-26 11:30:55
It's up, but looks like it's an old version. Ninjakari and Stealth both don't exist on it
