Generally when speak to younguns I find it is better for all involved that when giving advice on the negatives of a guild more focus should be placed upon the rp aspects of the guild that the novice might not feel attracted to and less upon what you personally hate about certain people within the guild. It's not really helpful to anyone other than yourself to do so.

While ranting about personal experiences is good for getting things off your chest, it doesn't really benefit Lusternia overall.

That was a rant? You should read my real rants. I can't go by anything other than what I experienced first hand. I'm not going lie and say Nihilsits are fantastic when it's not. I'd suggest Geos or Ur'guard personally.

Gabranth: I'm not spiting anyone. I'm telling it how it is.

Father Revan is a loving, kind old man who will grasp your hand tenderly, guiding you through your delicate childhood with a care seen largely on some Dateline NBC episodes.

Isn't that that the episode where they bust sexual predators? tongue.gif

Yes waggle.gif I don't know why, but my sister keeps on joking I'll end up on that show because I play "online text games" dry.gif Ugh.

Ultimately, Zlost: everything depends! What time you're on, who's around, what mood they're in, what mood you're in - any guild at this point would be good, and Othero and Nariah are some of the most enojoyable RP experiences you'll have with the Nihilists. Although for Cacophony, Arawaen's a pretty good reason to join kiss.gif

Damn you Revan for making me not join the Cacophony yet and consider the Geomancers...damn you...
Revan2007-12-14 20:17:33
I do that sometimes. I'm just that awesome biggrin.gif

Scale of influencing me to join a guild.

Revan and the Geomancers 1 - Cacophony 1
Unknown2007-12-14 20:47:43
Cacophony has me in it which means geos 1 Cacophony +a large number i cant count.

I'm reiterating a point many people have already said, but it's all about personal prefrence. Despite some people(s) having a bad experience in the Nihilists, I've had a TREMENDOUS experience there, as I have in the Ur'Guard. I, personally, had a bad experience in the Geomancers - that doesn't say anything bad about the guild, just the set of circumstances of my playing in it combined with what I'm looking for, out of Lusternia. The more you can define what you want to do, what you want to be, the better you can pick a guild. Simply saying "I want to fight, I want to have fun, I want to RP" or anything like that won't help you - all guilds are good at all of those, honestly.

I enjoy talking about myself more than the next person, however, you somehow have this awesome ability to take any topic and turn into "Who did something wrong to me". He or She (I forget) asked what guild would be best for him, and instead of focusing on aspects of the guild that may or may not be something that he is interested in you chose to to complain about something that happened to you. A rant does not necessarily (sp?) have to be a paragraph long rage fuelled ode to whatever pissed you off. Though that may be your norm, it does not make it the standard.

I dont like Yeralih, but if any novice asks me about the Blacktalon I will attempt to explain the aspects of the guild they may find enjoyable and what aspects they may not because the relationship that Yeralih and I share may not be the same one experienced by the novice.

I have had nothing but good times when I have been in the Nihilists secretly alting away. If you are into RP or religious anything I would recommend it, though the Geos are pretty good too (Veo and Revan make it a blast let me tell you, and if Ixchilgal is still around, he was fun too). Can not say for the others though.
Arvont2007-12-15 05:22:26
Mag's monks are now out! You might want to take a look at them. Jakaris intrigue me...
Ranadae2007-12-15 05:36:51
So um... if you join the Cacophony I'll bake you cookies.

We have a spooky bodiless voice that likes to headbang as a guild tutor.

And Arawaen is hot.

Your Voice tutor headbangs? Dang. Makes me want to move just to see it... confused.gif

Don't listen to him. Father Revan is bat-excrement insane who uses a BEER STEIN for WATER, and will grasp your hand tenderly before breaking your arm in three places and then shove it up his nose before summoning a walrus that will sing you a necroscream-style lullaby. *headbang*

All glory to hypnopie.

Yes. The instrument and starter kit program rocks in the 'singers. content.gif

You ultimately win as the coolest bard guild. You, Ialie and Zia are automatic win-win-win. No wonder Wildarrane is slightly UP (under powered). It's to balance things out freaked.gif
