First, thank you Catarin for your free system! I installed CMUD to get LSS, but I had to battle quite a few SQL database lockups with CMUD before I could even log. I also had a nasty accidental "hide" on the main mud window which took me an hour to resolve due to little CMUD help available.

I am only a n00b Tahtetso (

Secondly, re: the new autodef system, the Help file confused me (see
drink quicksilver
replacing nullquicksilver with quicksilver in (some variable)

I couldn't get it to stop, so I spaused, searched through the variables, triggers, etc, and finally cleared the variable with the two Defs it was trying to auto-load. spause and it stopped spamming. I'll recreate this problem and send an official bug email to you, but I wasn't sure if it was a bug or just my n00b <20 status!

Again, thank you for LSS and all the work you've put into it! =)

That's not really a bug. The system does expect the user to have things like quicksilver, faeleaf, earwort, a cleanse enchantment, and all cures. If you don't it's going to keep causing problems as it tries to cure basic things and put up basic essential defenses. It doesn't expect you to have anything extraordinary or any special skills but all the things that are commonly available it is going to need to function properly, and that you will need to cure properly regardless of system.

Anytime it starts doing something like that you can pause the system with spause and go acquire whatever it is it is trying to sip, eat, etc. I suppose it's one way to make sure you have all your cures tongue.gif

Cool. I'm glad it's not a bug.

Maybe a future n00b will learn from my mistake.

So far I'm hooked, can't wait to get dueling with it. Thanks Catarin! fisticuff.gif

Edit: Nevermind, Desitrus helped me.
Catarin2008-07-01 16:29:36
New version up on the site.

Version 2.8 - Released 7/1/2008

- Tweaked wound tracking and fixed an issue with head wound tracking
- Fixed a problem with rebounding stopping in certain circumstances
- Fixed a variety of bugs with syntax and spelling errors
- Made smoking pipes more reliable in certain circumstances
- Added an automatic configuration of defenses similar to catscan (you will want to delete your "enableddefenses" in your personal settings)
Catarin2008-07-03 15:46:03
Fixed a critical bug so there's a new version up on the website.

Version 2.81 - Released 7/3/2008

*Fixed a critical bug involving proper recognition of herb balance
*Fixed minor issues related to thinking smoking faeleaf was a cure
*Made detection of and loading of stored settings more reliable

I could give you an alias for one, just pm me everything you need to set.

Great work, Catarin.

But eet swalloweth up my macroes, also the onb - command is malfunctioning. I really need to learn this client though.

If you're using 2.30 the whole system will explode. Just a fair warning, it was a fairly bugged out CMUD release. Expect 2.32 today or tomorrow.
Saaga2008-07-17 19:21:51
I... think I have the newest one.

Oh, 2.32? Up there already?

Catarin2008-07-17 19:23:02
2.32 is out. I'd highly recommend upgrading. Also, there isn't really a way for the system to eat your own settings...unless your settings were saved in the package file and you updated to a new version? Or you're using 2.30 since who knows what might happen in 2.30.

EDIT: Oh and if you were using 2.30 and weird things were happening I'd recommend downloading a fresh package. And look for any odd variables that you did not specifically make in your personal settings and delete them.
Catarin2008-07-17 19:29:51
I will be releasing a new version of the package in the next day or so to address the skill changes (or at least what I have so far). If you have defenses that you want to be included in the system, please let me know! You can e-mail or PM them to me.
Saaga2008-07-18 10:32:58
These odd variables in my personal settings include blackouthealth, ego and mana as well as "PipeListSkill" - they seem too important to be deleted?
Saaga2008-07-18 10:41:05
Oh, and the queues don't work for me for some reason. Here's an alias that I have, for instance, called defup:
adroitness
falling
thirdeye
insomnia
elasticity
onb limber
onb mantra chant krakphet lumphet angphet
onb grip
onb deathsense on
onb selfishness
onb hyperventilate
onb invoke red
onb invoke yello
onb invoke blue
onb read protection

It only works until the first onb, after that it just does not catch the commands.

EDIT: also, ONB SIT doesn't work - the system apparently catches it though, since there is no "Whatareyoutryingtodo?"-message from Lusternia.

You would really need to send in a bug log.
Saaga2008-07-18 12:31:29
The fact is, there is no actual bug displayed. No error messages or such.

1 turn on logging
2 go to options -> general
3 select scripting
4 mark 'show trigger debug messages'
5 do your onb stuff

should get stuff like
CODE
6401h, 6834m, 6151e, 10p, 24655en, 27625w elrxkb<>-
l

Forest steps.
Saaga2008-07-18 12:47:32
How does one turn logging on in CMUD? Just got this, I've no idea.
