inquring minds want to know... whats mudbot and what does it do?
Stops ATCP lines from getting through to CMUD
Beyond that, a variety of other useful things that those who use it can probably elaborate on.

MudBot is the application in LMTS, a fork of IMTS. There's information on it in the Project L subforum.

Entanglement curing is broken, apparently. The only modification to that system is that it springups instead of standing on all situations. Can someone look at the function StandardWritheAble and tell me what the hell it's supposed to be doing?

A simple change to all stands being springups wouldn't really cause that to happen. From glancing at that log snippet it looks like there were some modifications made to the triggers that fire when you successfully stand.
Catarin2007-12-20 08:25:18
Fixed a major bug with rupture curing and posted a new version on the website.

I try your system to see if I can get used to CMUD and buy it (I'm using the 30 days trial version, and so far it hates me and I can't get it to do anything other then your system).
I was wondering if you'll be willing to add a springupon variable that will change standing, and will also take into account that you can springup whenever you have one leg's balance instead of complete balance and eq.
Thanks in advance.

Actually, MudBot is just a sloppy nick for IMTS (Imperian Modularized Trigger System) which comes from Whyte's inconsistency in the usage of the name. In the earlier versions (like v2 or so), half of the references in the code and Readme's calls it Mudbot. LMTS (Lusternia -) is a fork of IMTS which somehow inherited the sloppy nick.
So.. Mudbut = LMTS = IMTS = A proxy-like application for enhanced IRE gameplay.

Maybe at some point in the future. That's a pretty skill specific thing.

I have been looking over this CMUD system and can say I am quite thrilled to use it. I have not yet purchased the CMUD client, but will the system work well enough during the 30 day test trial?
Forren2007-12-20 16:25:37
I've been interested in modifying mudbot so ATCP continues to be passed through to the client. Not much success yet, aside from printing out ATCP messages in plain text.

It should work just fine during trial... but it's probably worth buying if you have time and money.
Eldanien2007-12-20 18:31:20
I'm using a workaround. Send the `atcp command to LMTS and it pops back the ATCP info on screen. Trigger and gag it.
Not as elegant as getting LMTS to pass the ATCP information intact, but it's working like a charm for me.

It seems really nice and well planned Catarin. I hate CMud at the moment because I don't like change and getting used to CMud is so damn tricky. I also wanted to try and find your movement macros, but searching that thing especially when it is a read only package, is such a pain in the arse. But its not your system that has the problem, it is me having the problem of getting used to CMud.
But can someone help me get a way to put up all the dirs/var/mac/alias/etc on the left side of the pkg thing and basically let me enter and look around/edit, etc. I just keep ending in root and cant even pull up Cat.pkg to look in it

I may not be understanding correctly, and I just downloaded Cmud yesterday (going to see if I can get used to it from Nexus ), but try pressing clicking the buttons that look like folders and the one that looks like a magnifying glass.
Catarin2007-12-20 19:59:41
It's actually not - or shouldn't be - a read only package. There is a bug that shows up if you search and don't find anything. It says at the bottom "this is a read only" blah blah blah. It's actually not.
Ildaudid2007-12-20 20:03:29
Ahh I noticed the read only thing and I would just try to override it or click it from read only to off...
But yeah I hate getting used to CMud from Zmud there are so many little changes. Its quirky

zMUD is quirkier than CMUD, and part of the problems people have in trying to make the switch is that they got used to all the old quirks and their workarounds no longer work... around.
It's actually easier to find things in CMUD packages than in zMUD settings, in my opinion. If you're still having trouble, though, try an Export to XML in the File menu and look through the XML text versions of all the settings. It's pretty human readable in XML form, and you can use any text editor to play around with it.

Yes, I did that precisely to make it trigger on the text springup gives when you stand up using it, or when you can't because you're already standing up. But I got the new version and dropped my modifications until I can figure out a better way of doing them.

Anyone else having a problem with using mudbot and the auto sipping working? I did atcpoff and confirmed that the class was disabled, set up all the sip values through the prompts, and did a qsc to give it the maxes, but it never sips.
Weird thing is that it DOES update the Currenthp, ect variables all the time with the correct values and confirmed that all the %'s I put in through the prompts populated the variables in Health Sipping... So by all rights it should work... but doesn't.
Anyone have any clues?
