I set the maximum wounds to 1, but the system hasn't been curing any of them.
Any tips?
EDIT: Never mind.

Ok, so I gave in and decided to try the system. Seems neat so far. I'm just too used to Mushclient and Portal (yeah, I know, Portal is horrible).
I seem to be having a problem with the queue system. Followed the installation instructions exactly, and went to make a "defup" alias as my first alias (accompanied with two others).
Here's what I entered to create the alias:
#ALIAS defup {onherb kafe;adroitness;falling;elasticity;bardicpresence;onpurg fire;drink quicksilver;insomnia;nightsight;thirdeye;oneq deathsense;onpurg frost;onbq limber;oneq invis;oneq blurr;oneq invoke red;oneq read protection}
When the alias is entered, it fires every single command as seen above. There's no queue at all. What am I doing wrong?
Also, smoking coltsfoot in order to sleep= spam stand+springup. It echoed "firing" upon removal of insomnia and tried to re-insomnia, but I slept before it could. It then started to stand and springup at the same time over and over, ignoring that I needed to wake up. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I believe you need to put onherb in front of each command, not just the first one in the list.
Zacc2008-03-05 01:52:51
I thought the onherb/oneq/onpurg/etc was used for that specific command, letting the system know when it should be executed (when herb balance is recovered, etc). The alias I made was modeled after the example "defup" alias under the instructions section of the website. The first eleven commands in my alias can be (or should be) executed at once if all balances are met, and the rest are executed after balances are recovered (I used timers on my other system for this. Using a queue is completely new to me).
I'll give your suggestion a try and see how it goes. Thanks.

You need to read the actual command instructions not just the examples. The example is just an old example and most of those commands (besides onherb) won't work. And as stated elsewhere in the thread, onpurg should actually be onelixir.
Zacc2008-03-05 03:02:42
I read the instructions on the site, but the commands confused me. I had trouble with the onb and onbn, and was under the impression there was a seperate command for equilibrium balance, but I see where I went wrong now.
Oh, and I found the cathelp too while browsing the aliases and triggers. Neat feature and very helpful.
Thank you.

I guess I wasn't meant to tinker with this stuff. I'm still working on that defup alias (so I can get used to creating queues and aliases), and it was echoing "replacing with null in PurgativeList". I did a potionlist and it stopped doing that. However, it's not taking into account the purgative balance. It's trying to sip frost before the balance is up. I'm also having trouble with onb. For some reason, the first command using onb and any action after that (except one for "onherb frost") do not fire at all. Am I using the wrong command again, or do I need to place a cq somewhere in there to clear that queue?
Acrune2008-03-08 15:32:07
Just looking at it so far it seems nice. The queueing is handy. I'm in the process of making buttons to toggle stuff and I was wondering why secondsight cant be turned off?

New version released. Also announcing the previous version for those who didn't know about it. Also, make sure that if things aren't working quite right, i.e. wounds not being picked up and cured, check in your root settings to make sure that the only variables there are ones you have specifically made. Delete any others except your character settings and database.
Version 2.4 - Released 3/20/2008
Fixed a trigger that was slowing processing down considerably when a lot of scroll was present on the screen
Fixed a bug where WS was not picking up and recording values properly
Fixed a bug where standing was being attempted while aeoned
Added more precision to writhing
If you reported a bug and it's not stated here, it's quite likely I fixed it but doublecheck
Version 2.3 - Released 3/13/2008
Fixed a bug where the system would think ruptures were present when not
Added in automatic configuration to the system. This setting will make sure all critical configurations are set. Once it configures that character, it will not automatically run on that character again. You must have ATCP enabled for this to work properly in the automatic sense. To disable it, type catscanoff BEFORE connecting to the game. "catscan" is the command to run the config script manually.
Fixed a bug where ectoplasm wasn't detected as being cured when cleansed with an enchantment
Did a variety of fine tuning for performance and some one off quirks

Fixed a setting compiling issue. If you already downloaded might want to do so again

Does anybody else ever get the problem where it tries to eat or drink nothing to cure stuff?

Literally? Like, it sends "eat nothing" to the game? Some (older) systems used this as a way to detect anorexia and such. Don't think Catarin's does this, though.
If it's sending "eat" and nothing after, it's likely a quirk of CMUD and/or the package.
Unknown2008-04-05 14:56:15
yeah sending 'eat' and then nothing.

My only suggestion is to open up the Script Debugger window and save a log of the looping. It'll show you which trigger/alias/etc is causing the issue.
Acrune2008-04-05 22:31:32
Huh, that doesn't happen to me.
Daganev2008-04-06 04:46:48
That happens to me when atcp is off.

I have a similar problem when using Forren's system every so often. There is a bug in CMud (at least version 1.34) where data records clear themselves randomly when they shouldn't. Forren fixed it by making a command to reparse his central db and rebuild all of the others.
I've also noticed that #addkey sometimes doesn't 'work' if you used a #delkey before. Sometimes it even shows it correctly in the editor but won't echo it (meaning the db is actually empty regardless of what the editor claims). Only way I've found to avoid -that- is not using #delkey -at all-. (That's in version 2.18).

Okay, I think I've sorta figured it out. When I ran out of frost recently it keeps trying to sip nothing to cure ablaze, even though I've gotten more frost since then. The outrifting and eating of nothing might be related to when I ran out of sparkleberry.
So I guess that might be because of a database variable like shadow says? I dunno how the system works enough to fix it.

There were a few bugs with data record variables, clearing them out or corrupting them entirely. Most, if not all, of them have been fixed. I have far fewer troubles with the 2.22 beta version. There still seems to be problems with CMUD not always saving variables in a package when exiting, though.

Quick question: I created a child window to capture tells and clans, but whenever CatLSS sends commands to the game, these commands show up in my Comms child window. When I use an alias, or type in a command, however, they don't show up in the child window. It seems like a weird Zmud issue, but how do I make it so that these aren't showing up?
