That is so awesome! I love how complete non-words get to become words when enough people use them.
Unknown2007-12-14 19:54:55
"w00t" is a decent word. I use it once in a while.

I have no problem with Woot!, but I hate the fact they've legitimized "L33t".

Is Woot a word or W00t?
does this mean that scrabble is going to start adding number tiles?

I believe the original meaning stood for 'we owned the other team'
Veonira2007-12-15 01:40:10
I was looking at the second word (facebook)..
"facebook
(verb) : To upload a photograph to Facebook so that it may be viewed by others.
Have you facebooked those photos from the party last weekend?"
I have NEVER heard it used that way.

Pff, it's Merriam-Webster. They're American. What they do doesn't matter. Wake me up when the OED makes "Me" the person of the year.

We use it that way all the time at my school and around my friends. heh. If we take a funny picture or something, we say "facebook it."
Same concept as "google it".
Kinda lame now that I think about it.

You know, I'd never actually tried to read l33t before, apart from small things like w00t or l33t or whatever. I just realised - it's not that hard. Are there people who actually still communicate like this?
Not that hard? I've been staring at that for ten minutes now and it still just looks like a random smattering of numbers and punctuation.
What does it saaaaaaaay?
Unknown2007-12-17 02:35:53
My god... I just realized that I regularly use 'google' as a verb too

If there are, they need to die in a fire.

Like I said, it made me feel gross. I promptly went and took a good long shower after posting that, then sprayed my brain and computer with about three gallons of lysol, disinfected my desk, and torched my room, just to be sure all traces of that... madness... were eliminated.
