Patchou the Moon Cat appears at first glance as an ordinary housecat with short
white fur. However, nothing else about her can be described as ordinary. Her
enormous eyes glow with a silvery-green light, and her claws, when she cares to
show them, sparkle with silver motes. Most disconcerting of all is that her feet
never quite touch the ground but hover inches above the earth. Like the most
arrogant of cats, she lifts her nose contemptuously at almost everyone. The air
around her crackles with power.
Patchou the Moon Cat appears to be extraordinarily strong.
She weighs about 12 pounds.
She is loyal to Eilia Helfarch Sarrasri Talnara, Dancer of Silver Mists.

The best part about Christmas is that you can eat nothing but borsch with ravioli for three days straight. Then you prepare for New Year... which means selling fireworks for me. Sigh.
Here's my loot list:
300 GB hard drive
Gilette shaving machine +aftershave (the expensive kind, that one advertised by a very manly guy who winces like a little kid each time he cuts himself during shaving)
50 Zloty (~15 bucks)
Some candy
Best of all - my brother gave me a link to a page where I can watch Avatar: the Last Airbender. It rawks.

Got awfully preachy again, but yeah, it was definitely unexpected. Not a bad book otherwise.

Only in parts was it really preachy. I mean, it wasn't nearly as bad as Naked Empire or Pillars of Creation, and the preachy stuff (like all the rhetorical questions Nicci asks in a single paragraph at one point) really just made me giggle. It was like, "Oh Terry. You're so crazy."

Yeah. It was definitely less preachy than some of them.

Umm... I got nothing...
But then again, I am Taoist...
And my father was out to sea...
As was my Christian brother.
My mother and I were happy, we did not have to buy anything for the first time in eight years!
So I bought a new plasma TV... it gets installed tomorrow.
But then again, I am Taoist...

I can just imagine:
You: "Wow, this feels great. We don't have to spend any money this year on presents, I'm not Christian, and we can just spend time together."
Mom: "Want to buy a new plasma screen TV?"
You: "Yup."
Callia2007-12-27 03:24:02
Mom lives in Maine, I live in San Diego... we were not even together. :-p I wasn't even home for most of it, having taken my shift as OOD so that the Christians in the command could have the die off.

Gretsches are nice. Why not have something custom built though, for that kind of money?
