I think the extra pipes are just extra pipes now that we can smoke pipes by herb name and not by simple number. So if you run out midfight, you don't have to refill it, which could cost a lot of time if you were in aeon and you had to outrift and stuff. It's a Geb luxury.

The extra pipes are to stop things like myrtle lock. In which you can hemiplegy or sever nerve quick enough and timed right to run someone out of myrtle in their pipe. If both arms are dysfunctional and they are out of myrtle, then they cannot refill their pipe. So having 2 myrtle pipes is a wise choice when fighting people who know how to efficiently use this technique. (Like Alger, he can myrtle lock you pretty quick, also can ghostlock you... but that is another story and no pipe will save you)

Are you sure it doesn't? People just don't rune instruments as often as they rune jewelry. (Maybe it doesn't though because the bard's mark suppresses the maker's mark?)

Same concept really. I knew about the myrtle lock but I didn't feel like getting into detail. I figured I covered the main concept of having extra before you run out in a tight spot.

Can I count my mount?

At a distance this creature could be mistaken for a horse. But on closer inspection, it's opaline scales that adorn his body and great mane shaped like a wave breaking on a shore prove otherwise. Atop it's head a spiraled horn rises and curves back gently. Unlike a horse, his tail is and extension of his backbone, tapering to a point hidden by a cerulean fringe akin to his mane. His strong legs are fringed with the same vibrant blue fibers as his mane and tail. It's eye's gleam with intelligence as it looks back at you thoughtfully.
Xian-zi, the Kirin is a humble-looking creature.
He weighs about 600 pounds.
He is mountable as a legendary steed.
He is loyal to Apprentice Kaileigh.

I guess I'm ok with this considering I haven't spent any real money on lusternia >.> I feel bad but if I had money I wouldn't have been playing a mud. Maybe if I hadn't used all the credits on fun things like a pet I would have more useful stuff for fighting... Although he could hit people for like.. oh 90 damage.. Go kirin.
