What else will Lendren's granddaughter write a six-play series about in the year 220, if we don't have extended storylines now?

The noble but impoverished artisan who rose above his meager beginnings to lead a guild?

Another one or just a continuation of the same plot?

Just asking.... funky.gif

I don't get it. The Dread Lord is egyptian?

He's okay, but starting to get a bit overdone at this point. Seems like he's involved in everything, so it's always towards the "same end."

I'm hoping that this event ends up with him going away for good! Final triumph and all that.

Or at least giving us some insight on who or what he is.
Shiri2007-12-31 04:32:46
I thought the "age of g" before he exploded last time was a nice hint.

EDIT: He needs a supporting cast that is less cheesy than "this isn't the last you'll see of me" so we can actually take them seriously though.
Unknown2007-12-31 05:17:28
Drat, missed another chance to steal his portrait. At least he's still alive! biggrin.gif

Seconded. He needs some thugs with an iron jaw or something to throw at us first. And then dangle the basin above a piranha tank while discussing his evil plan. pfft.gif

Come on, he's the recurring villain! He's like miniature Kethuru. He swishes his cape, twirls his mustache, cackles maniacally and fails miserably. That's his job.

Lusternia needs an ongoing "big bad" who isn't in immediate danger of swallowing the world everytime he enacts a fiendish plot, damnit!

I like Plague. suspicious.gif
Ilyarin2007-12-31 10:38:04
The Dread Lord is definitely an awesome plot point for Lusternia. I just hope that a future event lets everyone learns more about him.

It was a cripple cloier (I got one too), not one of those massive basin-eating ones like we had before (which was supposed to be a young/larval one...) Maybe it's like where the poisonous caterpillars are way more lethal than the adult butterflies so they can survive into a form where it's easier to spread their offspring. chin.gif

We had huge basin-eating cloiers? Was that this event?
Unknown2007-12-31 16:01:53
I agree with Jack. I suspect ultimately the players will have a chance to defeat him, which they would not likely be able to do against an Elder God (since they are admin) or Kethuru (who'd required gods and a whole lot of luck to defeat). It sounds like this is an epic meta-plot.

Yes, it does-- and that's pretty much what I was saying. It's gone on for quite some time now, and it's kind of feeling like it's time to start wrapping it up.

We had A huge basin-eating (by that I mean it wrecked 80% of the basin's online populace because we tried to kill it without poisoning it) cloier, not multiple cloiers, and no it was not this event. I don't have the log.

I'm pretty sure you're thinking of the pyrinne. We've never had a cloier before!
Shiri2008-01-01 02:13:52
OHHHHHHHHHHHH no wonder. Well I hope I didn't confuse Serenwilde by posting about that IG. My bad!
Unknown2008-01-01 04:37:26
I quite enjoy the Dread Lord myself (despite never running into him IG tongue.gif). I just hope he doesn't turn into our Slith.
Estarra2008-01-01 21:51:01
FYI, cloiers eat pyrinnes for lunch. Note that aetherships fight pyrinnes that run in schools whereas they fight cloiers 1:1.
