Meh....it's hard to say, if they ectoplasm you could keep on truckin with your kata, just slightly slower balance. By itself against monks it's not much of a threat. But you run the risk of passive scabies from contagion, scabies/epilepsy from the demon, or being paralysed. If they know you aren't curing ecto...it's conceivable for the nihilist to change their invest to scabies/epilepsy/darksilver/darksilver, and smack you with crucify. Then you are in some doo doo.

Nihilists can use epilepsy if they have the symbol (dunno which one. Baalphegar maybe?) or invest it. It's possible to get balance locked from a nihilist..though avoidable if you aren't brain dead.

Although if they get epilepsy and scabies with ecto.. and then you make the kata terminate.. the balance loss might be lethal terminate + 50% + scabies and epilepsy times.

No, epilepsy is balance. I think it used to be eq at some point though.
