What woudl be really neat is if you can only Enter exit rooftops from a road, but you can actually go to those covered rooms. You just can't go down from them, or go up to them.

That would be pretty cool

I've never lived in a city city so. it may seem different for other people maybe not sure but i generally do glance around when i walk.

When I walk down the street I always look at the rooftops, when I go into a restaurant, I check where all the exits are, the security cameras, how many people are in it, the closet meatshield I can get my hands on in case I am fired upon.

When I am in the pool, I check for ph balance, urine/fecal matter, small children, my nearest exit in case of a fat child cannonballing into the pool.

Yeah, that'd make the most logical sense... I guess it's not the case? sad.gif

But anyway, the way it is a lot better than climbing on the roof from a covered room... I mean, how do you do that? Unless you somehow bypass the roof through a fourth dimension, you can't climb up from indoors. From outside though, it makes perfect sense!

I usually imagine the Ninjakari climbing and walking on the roofs with more flair than stealth - Assassin's Creed style.

Entering the forest he moves not the grass,
Entering the water he makes not a ripple.
Entering the rooftops he makes not a hole in the ceiling!!

What's so confusing about how rooftops work? If it's outdoors in an urban environment you can get to the roof, if it's indoors then you can't. I also just walked through Celest's rooftops quite easily as well.

Because you can access the rooftops from outdoors, but you cant officially climb on the roof.

Kinda like if I climbed up the side of a Carrefor(sp) that french version of walmart all over europe. and could only walk along the edge of the building instead of walking into the middle of the building. Thats what is wierd about it.
Verithrax2008-01-13 01:23:51
Uh. How about we demonstrate this is necessary before we go around making people's skills worse?
Xavius2008-01-13 05:11:18
Oh, city defense is going to take a hard, hard nerf once the rest of the rooftop fixes go through. I think that sounds great. Communes have been dealing with it since day one.

When was the last time a Seren druid waltzed into Glomdoring and pulled someone into the trees to kill?

When was the last time a Seren druid waltzed into Glomdoring?

Last time I raided Serenwilde with the intent to kill, that's exactly what I did.

So what does Magnagora get out of this, since Celest doesn't have any people who this would affect? it seems pretty onesided

One-sided? Kinda like the way Mag is the only one that gets the skillset that is so annoying to start out with? tongue.gif

Yea Glom shoulda got it first, since Kaervas did the quest first... hell Stealth should have actually been out before Harmony, but since the Mag/Glom side of the quest was bugged at the time... it didn't happen that way sad.gif

Ahh well.... such is life smile.gif

I ain't gettin into it. I didn't do the quest. I know Kaervas was really pissed about it at the time and he was stuck prior to the kephera bugginess and Glom/Mag side got fixed later... trust me I heard alot about it at the time it was going on... he, like I said was pissed and venting smile.gif
