If you can't cure it, it would be sick, and if you can cure it, it would be terrible because from the way it's written, it's active.
Xavius2008-01-09 02:26:55
I read it as a slow active group attack that just stopped one action with a one second eq loss.
Zalandrus2008-01-09 04:38:46
Wasn't originally a group attack, but in light of the last two posts, either:
-uncurable, targets single person
-curable, but is group attack, and affects either all enemies in the room or everybody in the room with a certain % (dunno if there's precedent for this kind of thing...the greater the number of people in the room, the slightly smaller the percentage of hitting any one person?)
Also, yes, it stops one action, but will be more effective against mages/druids/guardians/bards. Won't affect warriors as much. Sort of like the weapon of monks against the magical archetypes.
This is getting more and more complicated. This is what happens when I actually put my fantasy world into words

I think we're better just sticking to passive things here.

Darn, I wanted to see the death message before it gets removed. Anyone have it?

Why not let MINDFIRE restore mana, and HEARTFIRE restore ego, in the target, and allow it to be aimed at yourself as well?

Because if Serenwilde gets a laetitia clone, I'm going to be one mean-spirited forum goer.

As Shiri said, I think it's better to keep things passive. These are for monks, and I'd love it to be useful outside of group combat. We already have passive mana/ego regen, too.
Kiradawea2008-01-10 11:10:19
Oh, okay. I just thought it would be neat if monks would have an ability that could benefit others than themselves. It'd give Kira a reason not to hate their guts so much.
Eldanien2008-01-10 11:13:51
Yeah, I keep thinking Harmony monks should be able to learn Healing. It wouldn't do them that much good, but it feels appropriate.

Work is being done on that! (Or rather, it has been done and the status of it is unknown.)
That is not what this is for though.

Help me convince the Admin that Crow needs some kind of useful passive that is not "regen while flying" if it ever wants to hold a candle to Night as a warrior skillchoice. Please?

I'd call total immunity to exp loss on Prime provided you're willing to do a very small amount of hunting holding a candle to Night.

Yea, darkrebirth is infinitely better than lich. Not that lich is bad, mind you.

No, that's not the reason. The reason is, "Crowform has lots of very little, useless effects."

All Bards have laetitia and puella clones. Ever heard of Major(minor?)Third and Roullade? There.
Eldanien2008-01-12 09:29:55
Bards can't roulade other people though, can they?
The laetitia clone concern is due to its use in revolts. I think.
