Pleh. The american voting process is bad joke.

I'd just put in a blank vote.

You could just do what 48% of registered voters do and not show up. smile.gif

Its not a joke, but it is rigged against drastic changes.

There is a big difference in not voting, and not voting for someone. Not voting for someone has signal value - especially if enough people do it in a situation where it is needed. Not just for one's own country, but also in a large scale for the rest of the world to see. Public world opinion does have a lot to say.

And where I do live, I do vote for someone - well, a party anyhow. We have a lot of those.
vorld2008-01-11 02:59:09
none of them I hate politics
Verithrax2008-01-11 04:01:07
"I hate politics." Ugh, that's like saying you hate breathing. Basically you're unconcerned with your well-being or your rights because you "hate politics."

As for electoral systems... Condorcet method FTW.
Estarra2008-01-11 18:50:16
Why not let a questionnaire decide for you?

(This is actually pretty neat to play around with as you can narrow down what issues are important.)

While that is largely true, and I mostly agree, there are certain rights that seem silly to me regarding the american constitution, which shouldn't be used just because it's in there. Weapon-related in this case.

This was my result.. However based on the circle it drew, I was actually closer to Mcain than Guliani. (also, I wouldn't vote for Guliani because of his fondness for Enron style acounting)

After hearing the news and reading the "blogosphere" this weekend, I feel prophetic. (regarding Bill Clinton)

That is pretty cool. I matched Giuliani pretty close, though he kinda looks like he wants to fck over poor people from what the site says... For all he cares, you're on your own for health care and retirement. Good thing I'm young and healthy! biggrin.gif

As for for democrats, I'd go with Obama, despite him being furthest away from what I believe. The best thing about him is that he's not Hillary tongue.gif

I'm closest to John McCain. Pretty accurate.

Course, you could always go to birds for advice on who to vote! chicken.gif

I am voting for my room mate. We've decided he can be a better president then anyone else on the list... so might as well vote for him.
Ildaudid2008-02-05 20:13:42

Ill test it with the questionarre though.

Yep. I'm also with Senator Obama. I don't hate Hillary Clinton, but I just find her somewhat...repulsive.

Anyway. McCain seems to be just like Bush except well-mannered. wtf.gif

How can you say that about McCain?

McCain is like the anti republican.

Rofl. I take it back.

But on certain issues he certainly sounds very Republican to me. He basically wants to stay in Iraq until they've "won", whenever that is.

Key difference here is that McCain has actually been in the Military, and been a P.O.W, and knows what torture is.

Very different kind of person from Bush.

The Republican establishment hates him.
