That's odd. I don't remember it happening last week. Or even during the wargames when it was being used by a team with a number of passives to support it, repeatedly. Hm!

I remember being a novice in Tainted (On survey) Glomdoring, and not being able to come up with ways to defend the notion that Glomdoring wasn't tainted. I'd always have to fall back on 'All you see is an illusion! You just can't see right.'

I remember Oooooold Viravain, and being utterly and inescapably terrified of her. So much so that I'd shake OOCly when I spoke to her. I remember this one time someone raided EtherGlom and I was the only one around, and so I went to the nexus on the ethereal plane and wisped them, but Viravain was standing there watching, and they thought Viravain wtfpwned them.

I remember becoming a Shadowcaster Faeling and thinking "Do I haaaave to have the bat wings, dark skin, and red eyes?" And finding no non-dumb reason around it, I had to deal. Not that I mind it now. Though, I still don't have the ugly bat wings completely.

I remember reading the histories, and worshiping Rowena in them, and then meeting the modern Queen of the Night (Gwynevere) and being surprised at how nice and un-Rowena-y she was.

I remember giggling madly whenever Kethuru-possessed Viravain would call Estarra a bitch. And all in caps too!

I remember when Lusternia opened, and I had a Seren character for a bit. I remember uber-bashing rockeaters and at level thirty being able to boom in shouts. I remember always trying to think of reasons to shout, too. Gawd, I thought that was the coolest crap ever.

I remember when Glomdoring got Wyrded, and I was able to jump for joy and think of actual excuses for an un-Tainted Glom.

I remember being all upset when Isune jumped off the Wyrdling and fled into the skies crying. I wanted her to join Glom!

I remember meeting Shayle for the first time after my first lull in playing and being so completely struck by her. I remember how psyched I was that she was so Queen of the Night-y.

I remember the founding of the Blacktalon, and all the druids running around the Forest like chickens without heads so that way they'd get to be the Eye of Crow.

I remember once defending Dairuchi from someone (Krellan, maybe?) with only Yeralih.

I remember having a big argument over how Glomdoring didn't kill fae (Which was necessary in the beginning, I remember that, too) but simply freed their soul so that Mother Night could save them.

I remember loathing Glomdoring OOCly, because I've always wanted the Gloriana, but forcing my character to worship everything about it. (It's easier with the Wyrd now, I can do Wyrded Glomdoring.)

I remember how much fun Hamster Hunts were to me, and how I thought I was the coolest thing on two legs after I won one.

I remember when org arenas were nonexistent.

I remember more than I thought I did.
Munsia2008-01-22 07:26:07
Glomdoring had a village? ohmy.gif

Anyway! I remember Isune and Viravain doing the flying nekkid dance and thinking that was hot ^-^
Shiri2008-01-22 07:27:52
Yeah...they went without for a while, but got given Paavik when Shanthmark and it were newly discovered (everyone else fought for Shanthmark, and I think Seren won.)
Munsia2008-01-22 07:29:42
Wow... you think I'd remember that

Seren absolutely won Shanthmark its first time. Gwylifar never fought so hard in his life before or since, both to drive out Glooms, and to insist Seren not give up despite starting at a sizable disadvantage. I think he died like ten times in that influence, including one miswoven death to a demesne summon and a chasm that both went through serpent. Now, if he'd happened to get the last influence in that one, that would be a memory! But it went to some midbie who was never seen again, as I recall. (Could be wrong.)
