I'm debating on going back to Telekinesis but I know that Telekinesis isn't as straight forward killmode...
Telekinesis does have some passive afflctions not to mention that stacking vessels isn't -too- hard.. The problem is it'd mean I'd have to go for damage or burst kills which most -really- good players can avoid. Also Telekinesis isn't that good for 1 vs 1 outside of demesne whereas Telepathy is...the 5 room away blackout is appeasing and so is the entire tripping ordeal..
I guess I need some people to argue the pro's and con's with me so I can figure out if I should switch to it

Just depends on how bored you are with telepathy really. Well that's my stance anyways.

I'll just say, there's a reason the majority of people went the other way.
Narsrim is one of the only people I know who switched back to telekinesis after being a telepath. It didn't last long.

On my mage alt i did not like telepethy and perfered Telekensis leg locks dagger and throwing people is just to nice an advantage.
Munsia2008-01-11 21:50:33
Poor arguements must I keep telepathy?!
Daganev2008-01-11 21:52:10
take telekentics so you can move cups across tables and make people go "WOW!"
Munsia2008-01-11 21:52:59
But will that stun my enemies long enough to kill them?

Yes!

Edits:
was a tk for a long time.. didnt want to shift to telepathy.. then the monks came and glauco kept killing me.. and mariello got mindburst and kept killing me.. (they still kill me though)
then i learned that people who are large enough are immune to the trip stun..
that almost all the attacks of telekinesis are being avoided by the acrobats.. (big problem - not only the acrobatic avoid but trip is being cancelled by falling)
And you can spam reading scrolls of disruption.. it was very fast.. like 3-4sec per read i think and before you know it.. that dagger/leglock is gone and you are immobile and they have a free attack -- wish it was like the scroll of healing where its 8sec per.. but it is like the scroll of curses where the only thing that prevents it from being read again is being on balance (biggest, biggest problem.. totally nerfs the dagger thing strategy)
the weaponlock? what is that.. the thing that makes the weapons slow.. does not work on tahtetso and shofangi.. (dont know about the new chains)
but i was not using demesne so much then... but now that i am older, i think tk coupled with demesne stuns will work wonders.. you dont even need to trans it.. just up to barrier.. and the blackout is really nice.. and i kept thinking of a lots of new ways to stick vessels..
-- claws with vessels are very nice.. a few times i was able to build 9vessles and the damage stackedup to over 3000.. and its not like you can do it only to newbies too.. a lot of the normal fighters that ive faced back then have fallen to such things.. and yes they have a system (i.e. palisade)
-- in group situations, i think tk has a lot more utility..
-- forcefield is really nice in bashing.. youll be able to tank a lot of areas that you wont normally be able to..
still - i much rather prefer telepathy though.. at least all of its skills can be used one way or the other.. -- while there are a lot of not so usefull skill in tk (brokenarm in super? yuck)

IMO, telekinesis is a really cheap skillset. Vessels bleeding was vastly upgraded (on top of claws, no less), leglock is just lame, barrier can be annoying (outdone by perfectfifth, though), the blackout is easily spammable and everyone who uses it I've found to do so only to annoy someone.
Telep is pretty nice, with domination and the insta, it requires almost no skill to be able to kill most in under 10-12 seconds with or without curing.
I'd say stick with telep as it gives you more options to be creative with. Telek is pretty much combo1, combo2, repeat.

Telekinesis isn't that cheap, aside from barrier whoring in groups. If you have a problem with telekinetic attacks, your curing is at fault. When I was a Telekinetic (levels 60-99), it was incredibly easy to tell good curers from bad - good systems got hung up on the stun from trip and illusions and never cured vessels properly. Leglock is cured in a near-second if you cure it when you should - something much faster than, say, writhing.
Telepathy > Telekinesis though.

Actually, Nezha there is another way to stop scrolls from being read to you. This is by being deaf. Unfortunately, I can't verify nor do I know if this works while you have truehearing. I know this is definately the case when you are deaf without truehearing. But it's an easy test if you ever want to find out for yourself.
Munsia2008-01-13 10:19:12
Although cheap, has anyone tested bursted vessels within bubble/stoneform for a bleedout ?
I know claws is paused during said effects but I use to crotabubble and I was told it's still possible to crotabubble

It was changed? Wow, i used to kill people using this.. claws/phantoms then.. while waiting for power to comeback.. burst a few vessels and try to get a clot.. then bubble.. this was my move to kill when i was annoyed..
but claws is paused now?

Truehearing will not block it.
