Then thats called crappy curing.. otherwise the best you could do is sleep enchant when pixie hits.. which doesnt strip kafe. Its his fault if he doent wake fast enough. (Wake, 1s delay from aeon, he wakes and you are off eq.. he can try to cure).

In general an astro moony wont pull sleep locks on anyone with curing or skill to avoid it (which isnt that hard).

I know this is late, but I thought I'd add my two cents.

1. Healers can bedevil. Yes. Very true. Unless you're battling Unitos, who can drain both stamina and health at the same time -.-, bedevil can really turn the tide of battle.
2. ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS, AURASHIFT NEUROSIS when they first enter the room. Be ready to circle directly thereafter. Or have a faeleaf pipe ready.
3. Two words: Curse scrolls. Once they're asleep, pour on the afflictions, one after the other.
4. Keep them vined or webbed. Let your ents do the major brunt of the damage. When you're ready (since you're a celestian), use the three major OP powers of Sacraments to brand them heretics. That will pour on more afflictions.

The more afflictions you deliver in the first 10 seconds decides what who will win. And if all else fails, RADIATE AURAWARP and keep them in the same room with you as long as possible. Icewall them in, keep them asleep, and keep the afflictions coming. Make sure you have Performance, Beauty, Perfection, etc enchants on you at all times.

Wouldnt neurosis aura cure any mental affs you gave them still..? meaning you would be removing some of your own afflictions, although yes with bedevil aura it wouldnt be that bad. Aurawarp can be fun.
Unknown2008-02-17 18:14:00
Yes it does, but if they're asleep and are held prone constantly, it matters little whether or not the Neurosis aura heals a small selection of afflictions. Besides, the OP heretic in sacraments would take care of the major afflictions you would have to have them be afflicted with.

A celestine with healing cant aeon, so sleep lock is pretty unlikely if not impossible, you might be able to time sleep to insom stripping but then you need strip kafe.

Not if they use Sacraments, mixed with Neurosis and aurawarp. Typically, the opponent will try to put the healer to sleep or keep them proned. If they get at least two sacrament (I think its Infidel and Heretic) down on the target, the afflictions will literally start pouring down. That, mixed with the already existing afflictions on the healer, can devastate an opponent at Bedevil. Keep them proned for at least another 15 seconds, and then you can use the third and final Sacraments on them. Also keep in mind that they have those angels that can afflict at random too. With the right combo, I don't see how a celestian healer can be any less of a threat as anyone else who is well trained in combat.

The only difference between a non-healer combatant and a healer combatant is that the healer needs those afflictions on their opponent. Without them, a healer is pretty much standing in the middle of a warzone with a big red arrow pointing to them that says, "Easy kill."

You havent looked at Celestine combat theory have you? :/

- At infidel your target will run, if they didnt run at heretic. That is because its the only way to avoid inquisition. (this is the big flaw in that)

- Angels arent random, you set what to invest them with.

- Bedevil aura doesnt give the afflictions the healer has, and last I knew the original bedevil was removed.

- You dont need 15 seconds for inquisition

Basically Celestine healer would require you keep the person in the room for a fair time (likely with carcer, web, angel hinders) and either taking the try to spam in inqui approach, which can fail fairly easily since it takes 2 eqs that you dont hinder before you can inqui. Neurosis can cure the affs from angel and heretic so that would also contradict yourself most likely, you would need bedevil aura with it and try to keep them in the room so afflictions keep coming. If you can keep them with you and afflicting then you might also drain mana as they focus mind. Your chances are slim though.

EDIT: Hi Marinaaaaa

Its true that I've never looked at celestian combat. I've always been either a Moondancer healer or a Shadowdancer healer (not so much a good combatant when I was a moondancer. heh). And now that I actually look at the revamped bedevil help file, I just have to say. Holy censor.gif . What did they do to my beautiful bedevil! cry.gif
