Artifact Idea: Rune to add village exits to Cubix/Prism

I was kicking around some ideas for how I'd like to see the Cubix improved to account for the growth in the world, and a brilliant idea came up: Exits to Villages.

There should be a rune that allows an individual to "use prism" or "use cubix"(or whatever verb). This should take you to a village fulcrux that allows access to all the villages.

This Rune should be only attachable to Prisms and Cubix and run 100-200 credits.

Thoughts?

Fulfills a completely different role and is in no way related to prisms/cubix.

I'd love to have something like that, I'd buy it

Hell no, like we really need hit and run attacks to be easier.

Isn't there a tarot that does precisely that? While there are certainly artifacts that replicate skills now, I think the administration prefers not to make too many more artifacts like that, and would likely look more kindly on ideas that didn't.

I agree with Acrune.

Walk some, it'll do you good! wink.gif

I could see an artifact for village teleportation, and maybe for neutral settlements as well, but I'd probably have the following limitations.

1) Just right outside the gates, not inside. This shouldn't make it incredibly easy to raid, otherwise it may have a negative effect on village influencing.

2) The cost is too low--I'd say somewhere between 250-500 credits.

3) It probably should be it's own artifact, not a rune. Maybe a ring of the basin or something like that.

However, based on Visaeris' statements, one thing that might be nice to add to cubixes would be one or two exits in the Undervault. It's not an aetherbubble, and having an exit in the Vault would be useful.

Aether-bubble rune to attach to a cubix. Mhm.
Daganev2008-01-22 00:51:56
Undervault could use exits. Aetherbubbles could use exits. Villages should NOT have exits.

There could also be a grid over the basin/undervault which has exits at certain nodes/coordinates. Just to make it nice and complicated.

edit: Though I'm sure Visaeris just wanted this for duum, which makes me think its a duum idea. tongue.gif

There is a tarot card that leads to several villages ,and bards can set up teleportion spots there as well. Paintings are also avaiable , I think those would cover the amount of movement needed for villages.

It's more likely the administration will release an artifact with exits around the UV and some other exits around the Basin (that are not included in Prism/Cubix) - an artifact that has similar costs to Prism/Cubix. Profit ftw and whatnot.

Duum doesn't count as a village, so.. No, I didn't?

I'd also be open to buying a similar rune/artifact that would work for UV and aetherbubbles

Catacombs tarot should be unique. Veto!

Sounds like a bad Idea.

Hey, what about this?

Map of the Deathtrap

Syntax: POKE MAP

Poking it when out on the Basin will throw you in a random location in the undervault. Poking it in the undervault will throw you in a random org within the basin. Poking it in a plane will throw you into a random other plane of the same level, so currently, it would drop you into Nil if you used it in Celestia, and so on. Poking it in in aetherbubble will throw you into a random other aetherbubble.

Using it has a twenty-second stun, and it will never drop you into a room that has no mobs or people in it.

Not to hijack so much but dodging is so much better than an RoA and cheaper. Should reverse the effects and up the price on the new rune of dodging between 1k-2k!
