I think if you mention a Divine's name in anything, either a say, CT, GT, CGT, GNT or Tell (i'm not sure about clans), that Elder knows about it.

I learned that once when I was on a mag alt and I saw Fain using the fancy says like "While acting awesome like Morgfyre, Fain says 'blah blah blah'" I asked in TELLs another Mag "how does Fain do that" and I was dominated into reading HELP SAYS, and the person I talked to was NOT a Geo.

Divine can see tells to a person in the same room as them-- I've been in a meeting with Viravain, Veonira sent me a random OOC tell, and then was suddenly going, "Omg omg Viravain is asking me why I'm trying to seduce Xenthos ACK!" or something like that. Was some conversation about jeans, I think. (I hadn't replied to her)

You did reply or something you just never told me you were in the room with Viravain and I was talking about shirts with dragons on them and jeans.

Also just yesterday I was on Achaea talking to someone and talking about the Arcane Kindred and how much I didn't like them and apparently Lupus was asking if he should zap me.

Moral of the story: Explicitly say things are OOC even when it's your friends!

Heh, creepy, but better than on my last MUD, where the head-admin's-character-who-you-weren't-supposed-to-know-was-his-character-and-treat-him-like-any-other-PC would find out about anything he needed to through mysterious "sources", then use said information to derail and kill anything going against his IC character.

...and then he gets mad when he finds out people just started using AIM plan IC actions. Go figure.

Ja, I enjoyed having hunting. Love having the hound follow someone and listen to the conversations. Had more than a couple novices ask if I was a Divine. Had more than a few people wanting to kill me after listening to their conversations. Drove a few people up the wall with my odd little do-ditty of running around and speaking and sending them tells, and confusing them to the point in which they didn't know if I was actually there or not (Tekora, I'm looking at you.)

I've kinda abused their "We see everything you type" ability to get their attention at times. It's quite fun when you need them to listen in on something.

And Elostian is great for listening into everything. And making clinical comments that either ruin the mood, or just creep you out. I've played the past couple of months with the mentality that: "The Divine hear everything. Tells, Says, CLT, CT, GTS, everything. Say nothing you don't want known, at all." Actually, I tell that to people often. Hrm.

Editted Note #3: I love doing the reverse to the Divine. I've a tendancy to pop into Terentia's Fulcrux when she gets on or something. Been hit for doing it a couple of times.
