The legs thing shouldn't be too much of a restriction, right? Wyverns only have two and they manage.
Arix2008-01-29 11:39:16
SPIDER-PIG!
Aramel2008-01-29 14:30:58
I want unicorns for Serenwilde. The Faethorn one is all very well, but I want one you can keep.
Arvont2008-01-30 10:36:11
I like the tree-ish mount for Serenwilde. Ents, wtf.
I've always said that I found Serenwilde lacking in RP. Celest is for Light, Mag for the Taint, Glom for the Wyrd. Seren...?

Nature. And that's not what lacking in RP means.
EDIT: And even if it was, trees/ents wouldn't fix it, heh.

No Ents please! For some reason, they just make me go ngh at the thought of having them as mounts.
Probably because they're vertical instead of horizontal. I'm a nitpicker.

I second this notion.
I say that there be a short RP sequence where there is actually TWO unicorns wandering about in Faethorn and the Wilde gets one to follow by clover, the other with a honeycomb, drag them into some "romantic" part of EtherWilde, and let the mating sequence commence.
BABY UNICORNS FOR ALL!!!

Aramel2008-01-30 11:25:36
Maybe not exactly like that... maybe we could lure one to Antris and make him make them breed more or something.

Technically, Glom (celest too, I think) considers the Wyrd as natural, but Serenwilde (mag too, I think) says that it isn't. So Nature can't be Seren's theme.
Shiri2008-01-30 12:02:25
That doesn't make any sense.
Eldanien2008-01-30 12:10:43
Celest officially recognizes the Wyrd as not Taint. I don't think Celest recognizes the Wyrd as natural, though.
But I see Seren RP as natural meaning... this is how it's meant to be, not necessarily foresty.
Cosmic forces belong in the cosmic planes, Wyrd is an 'intruding force' into the natural way of things, so on.

I don't see it as natural. That junk wasn't in the forest when Urazial popped out of the portal. I'd say it's either Light infused Nature or Nature infused Taint.

This is where it gets odd, because what Isune/Viravain did wasn't necessarily Light-flavored. Isune and Celestia have nothing to do with each other, aside from a mutual agreement as to the value of certain ethics, and not necessarily all of them. Viravain's touch certainly wasn't Light-y.
As for the notion of Nature-infused Taint... would that just mean Taint Lite?
However way the truth of it is, I'm of the opinion that it's Glomdoring's RP base that's hardest to grasp. It feels like a million different ideas, some of them dead and deposed but trying to hold on regardless. With this kind of confusion as to what Wyrd is, the fallback is the emotional history of the Commune to draw RP from.
I still think spider-wasps are the way to go, though. Maybe Viravain takes a cue from Isune and slaps wings on something that didn't have them.
Shiri2008-01-30 12:27:10
Spiderwasps would at least fly AND be awesome. Unicorns wouldn't, but I'm sure there's something.

Unicorn spirits!
I think there's too many flying equines as is, though.
Aramel2008-01-30 13:09:15
I wouldn't mind if they couldn't fly.

So, Druken, use your talent to write up descriptions! Black widows would be best simply because we already have widowriders, and it just seems fitting that they taught the rest of us how to ride 'em. Spiderwasps would be... well, I'd be fine with them if we had someone to work their divine magic over them (Ie. give us a god plz).
Arix2008-01-30 22:23:57
Yeesh, what the hell kind of spider is that, Asarnil? Over here we just get Black Widows and wolf spiders sneaking in. Oh, and really itty bitty generic spiders
