As for the pie thing... Tervic is obsessed with pie. Maybe find another hobby, eh?
Is he someone famous in Lusternia? And it's not like my character is obsessed with pie in game, I just like pie.
Shiri2008-01-30 11:01:36
He's not that famous, but he has attracted the ire of various people for going "pie" all the time.
Basically, don't be gimmicky.

So don't have my character be mute and only communicate through interpretive dance?
Shiri2008-01-30 11:14:59
Yeah, that's another one that'll get you brainbashed by Murphy or whatever they do these days.
Jael2008-01-30 11:54:22
Or you could just come to the Cacophony. It offers pretty good RP, if I may say so myself (Sthai's recent post notwithstanding) and bards, though targeted by a whole lotta nerfs lately, are still quite decent and fun to play.

Nihilists and good RP? No. The main RPer (sthai) was scared away.
Um, excuse me? I can speak for myself. A lack of RP was not why I left the Nihilists, nor was I "scared away". There are still plenty of folks with good RP left in the Guild. Iytha isn't a bad place to start, neither is Othero or Gavriel (if he's still active - Gav, where are you? )
Aside from that, Nihilists isn't a bad place to go. I'd avoid the pie, though - bad things have been known to happen. Especially if you're a Mugwump.

Ok, if you RP and go into the Nihilists I can promise you that Me, Nariah, Iytha, or Amatsemaru will probably notice you. We like the RP, we try to keep the those who RP. If your interested in fighting then that is a plus. We do lack fighters which is a shame really.
I second the Gav .
my comment to Celina was about you being scared away. This is not the place to bring it all up but everyone can agree that you were not scared away.

2. There's some confusion right now on how warriors have been effected by some recent changes. (DMP - no idea what this is.)
Recently, resistances and how much damage each attacks does has been getting tweaked.QUOTE
6. To me, both guilds have their draws skill wise, even though they are completely different from my understanding. (One is magic based, with demons... I'm assuming affliction based killing? The other is physical based, crack skulls, smoosh.)
Nihilists kill people with kill conditions. For example, under 1/2 mana and either paralyzed or webbed to kill someone. Nihilists also have lots of passive afflicting; 1 to 2 afflictions of your choice from the demon and a random venom using barbedtail every 8 seconds.
Ur'guard fight by getting wounds on limbs and doing things based on what limbs have how many wounds. I'm not a warrior, so I'm not so good with warrior tactics. Warriors also make better bashers.

Basically, screaming WEPAAAAAAW everywhere he went.
It... was pretty great, actually, and I usually hate that kind of thing.

Yeah...
Inexplicable is about right, to be fair, and I kind of enjoyed it a little. It probably helped that he vanished before it got really old.

Or let me shamelessly plug the Celestines , we tolerate pie!
But derailment aside, I'd suggest you to go join the Nihilists, despite their late bashing dilemma, it's far better to be able to sit down and relax with invigorating RP during "dead times" where you're just too tired to bash, too down from dying. too depressed about your love life and sorts. Religion has always been a good coping mechanism

ur'Guard RP is very much military-style 'take your orders, salute your superiors'. If you're after that kind of strictness, but not having a whole lot of 'I am a ruthless worshipper of x, y or z Demon Lord', then the ur'Guard is good. If not, as has been said, Nihilists are for you in that respect.
FYI if you a ur'guard you can still find rp to be a ruthless worshipper of xyz demon lord.

I just cant let this thread pass.. although I was tempted..
- Nihilists are powerful until upper tiers. At upper tiers it comes down to how well they can cure aeon, as thats your main reliance. The only way you get away with not using aeon is quickening with either a drain or astrology for damage. You can win without aeon but it takes some luck to pull, as well as learning to set.
- Nihilist bashing isnt too bad, it isnt as good as high level warriors, but I have only ever been a Nihilist and I am a demigod (putre, quickening, and symbol are all nice)
