Originally commissioned by Haiden I decided to submit this. Honestly I've been very happy that it has been so popular with many in Magnagora!
Tailors can create incentives to raid! Attack Celestia! Go go go!
Item: Mask Type: Accessories Org: Nightsoigne
Commodities: leather 7 angel 1 spices 1
Layer: OVERWEAR Bodyparts: face
IMPORTANT: The main noun of this item MUST use this name: MASK
Appearance:
a ghoulish angel skin half-mask
Dropped:
An alabaster half-mask of an angel's flayed face lies discarded in the dust,
lips curved in a rictus of agony.
Examined:
The once luminous face of an angel has been preserved with pungent
spices, stiffening the gleaming alabaster skin into a defeated
leather-like husk. The half-mask melds to the left side of the face,
ragged edges and bright crimson stains hinting at the flensing knives
and violence savoured in its construction. Several thin leather strips
extend from the side and top of the mask, meeting at the back of the
head to form a subtle knot, gripping the oddly warm angel-skin to the
flesh. Through a trick of stretching the skin, the lips of the angelic
host lie above the wearers cheek, twisted forever in a rictus of agony.
Uniform alabaster white was the tone of this flesh in life, now it is
marred by a sprinkling of bruises, a soft shade of lilac here, there a
jaundiced yellow. What would have been a luminous golden eye has been
burned out, leaving seared hollow mark for the wearer's visibility.
Below the cheek lies a minute gem, sea-green and dazzling with motes of
salt, a crystallized angel tear. On the inside of the mask, a mad hand
has sketched a screaming rat's skull, trapped by a pair of manacles,
with a bit of charcoal.
Comments:
the 'minute gem' is meant to be a creative way of describing the 'crystalized
angel tear' which is extracted from the angel.

I have to say, all these designs just rock out. It must have been hell trying to vote for one in particular.
Arimisia2008-02-03 20:49:23
Appearance:
a regal gold crown of snarling jackals
Dropped:
A golden, vine-encrusted crown of jackals rests menacingly upon the ground.
Examined:
Thick gold has been expertly crafted to make up this crown, circling the
head in such a way that it fits without the need of a back. The inside
has been lined with a deep crimson-coloured cloth and padded to make it
comfortable. Etched into the gold on both sides of the band is a braided
rope design. The front dress is rather impressive with the elegant forms
of snarling jackals facing each other on opposing sides. Slightly below
and in between, a flower has been crafted with gently arching petals,
its center set with a blood-red garnet. Below the flower is the form of
a serpent eating its own tail, the symbol of the Ouroboros. Flecks of
emerald glitter along its scales and the eyes have been marked with a
deep red ruby each. Lastly, above the two snarling jackals has been
perched a large circle with emerald-crafted vines encircling it and
sharp thorns protruding from various places. In the center of the circle
is a large black diamond topped by the form of a much smaller jackal in
a hunched position and eager to pounce.

Item: Dress Type: Highfashion Org: HN
Commodities: silk 20 cloth 10 sapphire 5 bloodstone 5
Layer: NORMAL Bodyparts: chest, gut, legs, waist
IMPORTANT: The main noun of this item MUST use this name: DRESS
Appearance:
a dainty sea green wedding dress
Dropped:
A ruffled, sea green wedding dress lies here in a heap.
Examined:
This dress is made of the finest silk that can be found in the basin.
Sewn together delicately but firmly, the soft outer shell of the
dress is pleasant to touch, and brilliant to behold, light seeming
to emanate from it. The dress is sleeveless, but modestly cut above
the chest, allowing almost no view. The dress is tightly fitted
around the chest, stomach and waist, accentuating the form of the
wearer. The sides of the dress end abruptly past the side of the wearer,
showing the full back, and allowing wings to be unhindered. A small
clasp of bloodstone is crafted into the symbol of two hands, reaching to
each other but barely touching, and holding the two sides of the dress
shut over the lower back. A small 'X' is made out of the silk material
to hold the bottom cut of the back shut, to keep the wearer from
indecent exposure. From the waist down the dress poofs out fashionably,
bearing ripples all the way around. Under the bottom is a slip that
supports the bottom half of the dress, and provides a white sheen to the
outer shell. Over the top of the bottom half is a blue satin see-through
dressing that is adorned with tiny sapphires all around, lending a sea
blue overtone to the whole dress. A small black jackal's head is sewn on
to the inside of the lower back portion of the dress.
Made for a special someone.

All these designs make mine look so plain in comparison I notice that some descriptives are very popular too . Hmm I guess I'll just try to revise what I have for the next ascension, if I'm still around.
And to keep my word:
Short Appearance:
a pearlescent swan-sculpted viola
Dropped:
A pearlescent viola sculpted in the likeness of a handsome swan rests here tranquilly.
Examined:
Lovingly finished with a milky mother-of-pearl sheen, this full-bodied viola has forever captured the graceful poise of a handsome swan within its sculpted woodwork. The slender scroll takes the form of the swan's head as it arches back humbly to preen its immaculate down, eyes closed in a tranquil reverie. Delicately supported upon its long and narrow neck is a quartet of gleaming scarlet strings, which stretches from and over the bowed bridge to curl around a set of ruby-studded pegs. The lissome wings of the swan unfurl majestically as if they were on the verge of flight, and have been etched in painstaking detail to resemble lifelike feathers to both the eyes and fingers. Accompanying the viola is a bow of luminescent sapphire, strung with fine silver threads and tipped with a blooming, solemn black rose.

It's not too bad, it's pretty good! I like seeing swan stuff though, seems like my swan line of jewelry was the only swan inspired stuff around for a while.

Wasn't really expecting to win, but like others have said, it would have been a waste not to enter something.

Appearance:
robes of light and shadow
Dropped:
A set of robes lies here in a puddle of light and shadows.
Examined:
Soft, coal-black silk forms the outer layer of these elegant robes, cut
to be equally flattering on either a masculine or feminine form. An
angular pattern reminiscent of faceted crystal has been picked out in
black thread, barely visible against the matching expanse of cloth.
Lining the entire garment is a layer of translucent amphista skin, which
shines with its own pale light. The sleeves bell out at the bottom, the
lower edges hanging to knee length, exposing the glowing leather. The
same material lines the deep hood, wreathing the wearer's face not in
shadows, but in light. A line of smooth onyx buttons provides the means
of fastening the robes shut.

There's a DESIGN # TYPE command you can use to change your greatrobes to splendors. At least, that's what I use for masterweapons.

Shortdesc: An imperial crown of angelbone
Comms: 5 steel, 3 angels, 55 diamond, 30 platinum, 5 amethyst
Dropped: An imperial crown of angelbone rests lopsided on the ground
here.
Longdesc: A circlet of pallid, silky angelic bone provides the base of
this imperial crown. Delicate wings of bone have been artfully carved
along the sides of the diadem, their pallid frills spread outwards.
Fragile webs of thin, black fractures decorate the white bone, shrouding
this blasphemous piece of jewelry with an air of ominous ruin. An octet
of alternating panels of thick black diamond and white angel skin form
the rounded pinnacle of the crown. Grooves are etched within the diamond
panes of the crown, liquid steel inscribing demonic hieroglyphs that
glitter disturbingly against the black gemstone. A handful of downy
feathers shiver from the rear of the crown, a pale pink sheen and flakes
of dried blood on their fibers attesting to the forceful way in which
they were acquired. At the apex of the crown a small, silver skull
stares onward with eyes of amethyst. Held within its jaws and stilled by
the pointed crescents of its silvern teeth, is the dull, golden orb that
was once the eye of an angel.
Yep this is the proper version.

Wow, that's disturbing! It's too bad demons can't also be used to achieve such an ironic effect as that
Kharaen2008-02-07 12:38:48
I think demons can be used as a commodity as well. It'd probably be just as fun to make stuff out of demonbone and demon horns and demon hide, though Celestians aren't typically the type to design such (at least most. I know Jigan could at least >.>)
Jigan2008-02-08 04:48:49
I've never really looked at too many Magnagorian designs.
Suddenly, inspiration. Impbone pipes. The ribcage of a slight larger imp, just one section of rib, used to make a circlet with a small blue gem placed on the connecting location of the bone. Imp ribcage pouches using imp skin leather for the lining. A sconce which is wired imp bones designed so the imp's hands hold a torch. Demon ribcage chandelier. Leather bracers using a collapsed imp ribcage on the outside for each arm. A leather vest with a larger demon's ribcage across your own, on outside as usual, with leg and arm bones designed to hang down from the lower rack and demon teeth locket clasps. A skullcap thats a...skull. Leggings made from mottled demon skin. A cloak made from demon wings, if they have any, or just demon skin. Iron-shod boots with bone in place of the iron, with a clawed hand over the toes. A cabinet/closet thing with stuffed imps on the inside to hold your clothes. Demonskin gloves, with strips of bone on the back of the hand and small imp claws in the fingers. A scarf with demon teeth/fangs/claws instead of tassels. Socks which are adjustable at the top and need to be tied, using a demon tooth locket. Boxers made from demon skin with "Made in Nil" on the right cheek. A belt made from a deep black demon hide lined with various fangs, bones, and claws. A Demonskin backpack with a demon bone lining for support with a simple skin flap that has a clawed hand wired to act as the lock and for something to pull the pack open with.
Tables with demon claws for drink holders. A barstool made from demon bones using a nice demonhide seat. A rocking chair, made from bone, with the traditional skulls on the arm rests with a moving tail that snaps when you rock it. A pipe made from a demon's tail. A chest made from demon ribcages using a demonhide exterior with a large pouch like interior (You should reconize this one, Kharaen). Or, one made completely from bone with a lock location being a skull set in the center. Demon claw coathooks, and so on.
Edit: Oh, and the super item. A tapestry made from tanned demon faces. Just pulled right off, tanned/leathered or whatnot, and sewn together in one large tapestry (Demon face masks anyone?).
Edit 2: I'm aware that a majority of these are probably already made, but I don't have any alts, so I don't know what is actually made and what isn't.
Edit 3: Faces of players could also possibly be used to make a tapestry, or for tailor masks and so on.
Edit 4: I completely forgot the demon skull (Ruby stoppers in the sockets) vase, and the ribcage of demon flower planter. (Edit add-on) Argh, and the bed made from black wood for the base, but with demon bones wired for the four posts, and a demon's skull in between the posts on a bone bar with a large demon skin sheet hanging from it's mouth which you merely need to spread to either side to the hooks in order to shut the demon skin curtains. Curse it, I'm forgetful today.
