I have herd a bit about your "in character persona" and I was wondering if someone could elaborate on that for me.

And how do you quote?

Welcome to Lusternia, then. I never did much like Achaea--too much insanity and not enough cohesive story. Not to mention how hard it is first starting out, and all the bloody thieves. Hell, someone even stole my UNDERWEAR once and tried to ransom it back to me. It was my favorite pair, too.

In-character persona just means the character you are playing. In the simplest form that means acting like your character believes the world of Lusternia is real. I imagine you're familiar with that from Achaea. More in-depth would mean creating a distinct personality, motivation, and character for Xuen.

Like Volroc said- making sure not to get the real world mixed up with Lusternia. In-character (IC) is behaving like a Lusternian, and Out-of-character (OOC) is behaving like a real world gamer- common courtesy if you need to speak to someone OOCly is putting double parentheses around the OOC text in a tell or a message.

In order to get you started on developing Xuen as a character, here's a link to the Mother of All Character Questionnaires. It's not required! But it is good practice for fleshing out your character. Personally, I've found surveys like that helpful, and Googling "gaming roleplay" or "rp" is always useful. I also look at the RP section in WOWInsider- sure, it is for World of Warcraft, but there's good advice to be found in there!
