I don't think Anansi was being aggressive or sarcastic there, just explaining that the point had already been explaned. He then gave a much more detailed explanation afterwards. I think you're jumping at nothing with this.

They revealed in this thread that Anansi is Verithrax. I suspect one of the other gods is the person who played Bwanwyn/Mel/Zalana whoever. I assume he has no problem with that, since he and Kunin are more "open", wanting to talk to the players as themselves, and he didn't edit the thread where the guy mentioned it.

To be honest, I can understand how Verithrax's sarcasm and tone can unnerve people--and he can be very dismissive of other people's opinions. But then again, other staff members of games can be a little biting--anybody remember old Lisaera's tone. Sometimes I wonder if she even liked us!

But I think by being a staff member, is actually good. He can focus on actually helping build the MUD he likes rather than fighting with the staff here, since it's obvious his team has a difference of style from this team. (As a staff member, I don't think he's allowed to complain about Lusternia anymore, since I'm sure they frown on staff attacking other IRE staff). And because he's trying to attract players he can't piss them off, so I honestly believe that being on the other side of things, he'll get a better appreciation of what staff have to go through on a daily basis.

He has a lot of creativity, I hope the ToP games lets him show it. I really liked how hard his character worked at trying to do things, etc, plus I think he had a lot of good ideas.

As an aside, what if I only want to get rid of your annoying sig and not anybody else's?

However, you're offering advice on how to "turn off sigs." I like most of them, so I'm just asking how one would turn off the actual annoying ones. I provided one example in the question.

Yes, I did say it was as an aside, and I apologize for that-- but I'm still wondering how you justify contributing to the problem you're trying to solve, and asking if you have advice to just turn off a single one as you're trying to advocate turning them all off with extra snide commentary.

(It'd be a lot better if it just said, "Hey, you can do this to turn off signatures if you don't want to see them.")

Based on how Verithrax feels about gods, he might be one of the "non-god gods" they're talking about. He might not even be an in-game god.

But I don't think you should curb your enthusiasm because of that knowledge. I mean, I'm one of Verithrax's biggest critics, but I don't think his creative contributions should be judged on his personality here in a forums. I think giving him the benefit of the doubt is fine.

And remember, he's only one of several staff.
