Nezha is very bored of lusternia and in an attempt to reignite his interest, would like to try something new. So he's thinking of going
1. Pureblade
2. Celestine (tarot)
3. Cantor (tarot)
fyi: I dont like monk combat.. sorry tahtetso..
But cant decide. On one hand, I've always liked being able to wield a katana. But on the other, a soulless buildup/instakill seems to be really interesting.. but bards will be very good too, and with the tarot will certainly be very unique..
Maybe I'll buy 200-300cr for the shift, but thats it. Then spend 100cr on the dagger of reincarnation.. the remaining 200 on filling the things ive lost..
Any ideas?

Yay, another inqui/soulless whore
I dunno, I heard knight combat isn't that great unless you are runed. Also, I think it will be very hard to compete with tarot on bard, acrobatics is awesome.

You'd save credits for the dagger if you went either Paladin or Celestine, as long as you're taking Sacraments of course, since merians are quite ok for them. And though I'd like to have you in the Priesthood, I'd like to recommend the Cantors since they're in great need of members, though the lack of people there might bore you as well... And Cantor Tarot may be at least viable, though I'm not sure how it compares against Glamours. Last Cantor Tarot I knew was Lysandus, and I think he felt there was something lacking in his offense

Since Rika isn't here yet, simply come2seren .

Cantors are consistently the only guild below Shofangi on topguilds. If you like actually having people around, you're probably better off with the paladins.
Unknown2008-02-18 02:38:45
I suggest Paladins. Warriors are easily the most interesting class to play; such would be perfect, seeing as how you're bored of Lusternia.

Bards are a sinking ship, I'd stay away for the moment. However, I bet I could kill better as a tarot user then as a glamours user, though.

The monk shift to paladin would cost alot less as well, as they have for the most part the same lessonpools

He's a mage.

Celestine. As much as I hate them, they look like fun.
Sad to see a TK leave

If you go bard, yea, seriously consider Glamours. It seems a lot more useful to a bard, and cool in its own right.
My vote is for Celestines. Seems like a nice, biggish group, with an RP at the center of Celest...plus interesting tactics in PvP, I believe.

Quoted for truth. If you dont go muggy you cant really do much else, as you need the speed to pull the harder stuff or absolve.

See, once i shopped in voidheart and saw this demon-designed katana shaped like a cross.. and its always been in my mind..
but what the heck am i doing now holding a lute.. what was i thinkingg...
Nemerle2008-02-18 09:27:31
Ouch, but too late!
Penna2008-02-18 11:16:51
Heh... why not get an instrument designed along the same line? Something demonic 'twisted' into something light. We got a cartel, it can be done.
Unknown2008-02-23 05:36:37
I think I remember hearing about a merian gut lute once...

A few days as a cantor now.. and its..
1. PvE - this is insanely good. As a mugwump with the damage booster songs, i can hunt so fast it amazes me. If only ive known about this before. A big part of my time is wasted bashing and the time saved from the speed/damage upgrade from an aquamancer is very noticeable.. I hit almost as fast as a monk.. cant suddenly take two illithoids though, as I seem to have become more squisher..
2. PvP - disappointing..
The problem with it is, against a certain class of people.. i.e. high health, insane magic resistance, minorsecond does not work.. I remember placeus hitting with over 2000 damage before, but that was before the dmp's.. now my damage is at a little over 1100 in general, and thats with crusadercanto..
so I turn to octave. But unlike a the harbingers with the mana/ego loss booster and the passive bleeding.. aka still more mana loss, a cantor has not that.. so the mana/ego loss damage is not that great..
that is if i manage to stick the barbs.. against people with things like hollowed ground, or if they just remember to gust me out of the room, i get boned..
(I think the wildarraine with the sleepsongs, and perhaps the cachopony with the willpower drain is better in some aspect as at least they have a long term winning strategy..)
I need a better instakill.. perhaps ill go try to use tarots.. just so i can have another instakill.. but the loss of some glamour skills might not be worth it though.. is getting soulless worth the loss of reflections, illusionaryself, maelstrom, maze? seems hard to swallow..
Right now, I'm sticking to bard just because of the hunting speed.. but i honestly dont know how to kill some people with these skills..
add: or i can shift to tarot now.. then when i reach my target circle, shift to celestines.. tehehehe..
all together now -- Inqui/Soulless, Inqui/Soulless, etc.

Well you must be doing something terribly wrong, because Cantors are omgOP
