Heh... Where can I get Mudbot from? Also, how do I install it, get it working, etc, for cMUD?
Thanks
Thanks

Shamarah, 20cr I believe.

It is hosted on SourceForge, though the original version was for Imperian.
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...lease_id=376873
You will need to change the config.txt file and make it point to lusternia.com rather than imperian.com. -Also- you will have to get hold of an 'IMap' file from somebody. It is this that contains the contents of the room information.
Once you change the txt file, and run it. Make your client connect to 127.0.0.1 on port 123 rather than lusternia.com on port 23

If you want to use CMUD's ATCP features, you'll need to wait for my updated MudBot code to be released. After I get time to finish up the requested mapper features and take care of the remaining annoyances, I'll make a post with the details.

Thanks!

Yeah, Zarquan's offer will certainly be your best bet here. I am sure he will provide a current IMap for you, and with it being more Lusty specific...Well....

Actually, I only give out the code for free. I do not include maps like Whyte does. And, with this new code, there will be two versions: one for 80 width and one for no wrapping width. The maps will not be 100% compatible from one version to the other because of special exit trigger lines being different. I have about 101 different areas mapped, not all of which are complete or accurate. Shamarah's maps should still be compatible with the 80 wrapwidth version of the new LMTS, though.

I've been using the current LMTS with Wrapwidth 250, so... what do we use with wrapwidth 250 when faced with 0 or 80?
Unknown2008-02-18 17:36:19
Well, the existing LMTS (that you have) is meant for wrapwidth 80, so if you use the new wrapwidth 80 the same things will work or not work with it on your wrapwidth 250 setup. I'd highly recommend you go with wrapwidth 0 in the game instead. It shouldn't effect too many trigger lines, but it'll make things more consistent for you across the board. I've been using wrapwidth 0 (with my newer LMTS) for a week or so, and I haven't run into the same crashing problems you said you were having with your setup.

Yeah - I initially wanted to do my system for wrapwidth 0, but it would mean intermittent crashes from Mudbot. I couldn't be in an important fight and have my entire connection to Lusternia just die.

The old LMTS is based off the previous IMTS, which had smaller buffers. This new version is doing just fine for me so far, but I'm continuing to test it as I fix up other things in it.

The intermittent crashes stopped pretty much as soon as you changed the room title to something that wouldn't turn up anywhere else. At the moment my room titles are bright purple as that was the only colour distinct enough to still be able to read the rooms easily.

Did this ever get completed?

Yes, and I posted it here. LMTS 2.0 has an ATCP passthrough option, so both MudBot and CMUD can make use of the codes (or MUSHclient, if you have an ATCP plugin like the one I use).

Oh excellent! Thank you. I must have missed it.
