you start as any race you'd like (not viscanti, though)... but, in the wrong sex. if you would like to play as male, start as a female, if you want to be a female, start as a male. then you use the portal of fate to come back as the right sex you'd like to play, though as a viscanti.
you coul' use this event to say you tryed to come back as a non-tainted, but, somehow the taint embraced you while you tryed to build your body.

about the restrictions of playing a viscanti into new celest? not much as the amount of fun you'll find once having to solve all troubles you are going to find.

You can change sex when you reincarnate now?
I've had a thought about my own character. If Ongaku ever wanted to leave Mag and join someplace like Seren or Celest (not that he would, he LOVES Mag), he'd have a really difficult time because I have no reincarnations left and I don't want to quit class, since he has a shiny new customized staff. Hm...life would suck for me if Ongaku ever wanted to leave Mag.
