I've decided to learn to make a MUSH system. I took computer programming in grade 10? that was like 5 years ago. Anyways I've been looking over Ethelon's paid system in the last few days and started to think "If I get off my lazy butt I can do this!" So, what's a good language to use? I don't know -any- languages and want to get one that will be powerful enough to do everything lusternia-based I need but not overly complex. I was thinking about Lau, as that seems to be the "in" thing. Is it easy to use?

I find Lua to be very user-friendly and powerful at the same time. You can do many things with pretty simple and sensible syntax. Some of the more complicated tasks will get a little crazier with the syntax, but it's a good language for starting small and growing.

I used lua just because I was bored at the time and wanted to learn yet another programming language..

The syntax is very easy to understand.. its almost like reading an english prose. took me just a few hours to learn it..

I heartily recommend it for you
