Subj: A Vernal Ascendant rises

On the 16th of Kiani, exactly 200 years after the Coming of Estarra, and
a hundred years after the opening of the Portal of Fate, the first of
the Vernal Ascendants was raised in the Serenwilde Commune. With the
full support of the Moonhart Circle, Nejii Talnara was imbued with the
power of the Moonhart Mother Tree, and was created anew a Vernal
Ascendant.

Penned by My hand on the 16th of Kiani, in the year 200 CE.

Zia Talnara says, "Thank you for coming."
Zia closes her eyes and inhales deeply, absorbing the scent of her surroundings.
Zia Talnara says, "We have over the past years been working for a goal, and that
was to empower the Mother Moonhart to a certain point, that we might raise from
among our brothers and sisters a Vernal Ascendant to represent us in the Domoth
and in the Basin."
Zia Talnara says, "We promised ourselves that we would reach two and a half
million power before we did this, and that goal was reached this month."
With a wistful look on her face, Zia touches the Moonhart Mother Tree.
Zia Talnara says, "There is 2,502,480 power in the Mother Moonhart Tree!"
Zia Talnara says, "We have brought this about together. I have seen all of you

Zia Talnara holds out a hand to Nejii, inviting her forward.

Taking Nejii's hand in hers warmly, Zia Talnara says, "This is the person we
have chosen to raise, the person who will represent us into a new century.
Empowered by our nexus, yes, but also by all of us - the work we've put in, the
trust we have placed in her, all our faith and hope."
Zia Talnara says to Nejii, "Do you have anything you wish to say to your
brothers and sisters?"

Ribbonweaver Nejii Talnara, Final Phase smiles and says, "Sure."

my post, so I'll talk about all of you instead."

Kaguya's eyes sparkle with amusement.

over the last century, which is as long as I've known any of you."
Ribbonweaver Nejii Talnara, Final Phase says, "We've had all our limits sorely
tested, and between the Taint, Celest and the Soulless we've had barely a
moments rest. Our progress has been limited."

shown what we can do when we really put our minds to it."

She is a bouncing furrikin demigoddess and of slightly above-average height for
one of her kind, standing just over three feet. Bearing a strong resemblance to
a fox, the fur that covers her body is deep black save for a white
crescent-shaped patch on her face and the white tip of her bushy tail. Her dark
brown eyes gaze out from under a tuft of wayward fur on her brow, and a ragged
cut marks one of her pointed ears. She is wearing 2 light blue coral rings, a
gold and opal phoenix rising necklace, 2 pocketbelts, a jade and onyx crescent
moon wedding band, a diamond snowflake crown, phoenix-emblazoned black sandals,
a twisting ring of amethyst, a silver tiger ring, a ring of silver vines
grasping a sapphire crescent moon, a gold and ruby jaguar bracelet, an elegant
silver and sapphire bracelet, a blue prize ribbon pendant, a starry robe of
midnight blue, a sky blue coat, an etched opal ring, a midnight black cloak with
a silver clasp, a ruby butterfly ring, a grand ring of steel, a diamond and
platinum falcon brooch, and a soft, crystal blue leather pack. She walks with
the truefavour of Lisaera.

Turning again to Nejii, Zia Talnara says, "Nejii Talnara, you have the support
of us all. Do you promise to stand by us, watch over us, uplift the Serenwilde
as your own blood and bond, this day and for all of your days?"

Ribbonweaver Nejii Talnara, Final Phase says, "I do so promise."

Zia Talnara touches Nejii briefly on the arm and draws back into the crowd.

Nejii steps towards the Moonhart Mother Tree and places her hands on it, sending a shower
of silvery leaves cascading around her as the branches grow brittle and dry from
the strain. Pale silvery moonlight swirls around her and the air fills with the
thrumming of power. The shimmering, ethereal forms of the Great Spirits briefly
fill the air around the Moonhart Mother Tree, chief among them Mother Moon and the White
Hart, as Nejii is suffused by incredible powers, and rises as a Vernal
Ascendant!

A new Ascendant rises! By decree of Seneschal Zia and with full support of the
Moonhart Circle, let it be known that the Collective of Serenwilde has this day
imbued Nejii with the energies of the Moonhart Mother Tree, raising a Vernal
Ascendant!

Utterly entranced, Aramel emits a long "Ooooh."
Aramel cheers wildly!

Heh, it is kind of self-fulfilling. The more demigods/Vernals you have, the faster you can raise more.

Still, I expect every org will be raising one soon enough.
